Some bunnies are just prone to gas too. I always keep simethicone on-hand just in case. There is debate about how much it really helps, but I’ve always had good luck with it.

I agree. The bacteria involved could be resistant to Bayril. I would try some different antibiotics before giving up.

Hmm… I’ve never had issues with just grabbing a bunny and placing them inside the carrier when needed. My experience probably isn’t typical though. 😉

I agree with the others. If you’re trying do a “no touch” capture, then getting them used to the carrier by keeping it in their area is a good approach.

Yeah good point. I guess I am just wondering if short sessions might be a better bet, and if that’s the case I need to figure out where to date them at home. There’s always the bathtub I guess. 🙄

Might be worth a shot, but probably the longer you can go without shaking the boat at the moment, the better. I visualize it as solidifying a baseline OK relationship as much as possible so small tuffles don’t break it.

Hehe my girl still has her bald belly too. It’s pretty cute to be honest 😀

Shes back to normal again. The vet said they didn’t see anything that would have caused it so it could have just been due to shedding or gas. Though to be honest I’m not too sure what kind of tests they did? We’re waiting for the vet to email the rescue back with the details about her visit. It was shaved when she got spayed and it hasn’t fully grown back yet. I love that pic of Dorian! He’s so adorable, what breed is he?

A lot of people use the puzzle mats. I think if you make sure the edge sticks out past the edge of the pen they are less likely to chew it. My Bun Jovi tends to try to dig into them so I can’t use them.

I agree with Hazel, she’s becoming a hormonal teenage bun, but should settle in once she is spayed and recovered. 🙂 Try playing hard to get, it does seem to help. 😉

Haha! This hasn’t happened to me, but I have heard of this happening, where the bunnies just decide they want to be together and the owner finds them cuddling in one rabbit’s pen. It is very positive that they both went into the hidey house and there were no fights!
