I completely agree with LBJ10. I don’t want to be rude, but they’re living conditions aren’t very great. Rabbits do better indoors and they also seem to be in a hutch that’s too small. Wire flooring can cause sores on rabbit feet. A rug would be much better. And I don’t see exactly what’s going on, but they seem to have too many pellets and not…[Read more]

Ouch, I’m sorry you are going through this tough situation. 🙁

What is their litter box? Right now for my buns’, I have a short one, which they constantly pee and poop out of. I heard that getting a closed cat litter box though would help with that. 🙂 Maybe, if you don’t have one already, you could try getting one and see if it helps? What…[Read more]

Rabbits can shed in patches, without anything being wrong. As long as the skin is nice and smooth, not inflamed, red, scabbed or overly dandruffy, this is nothing to worry about. Within 1-2 weeks you’ll see new growth of hair, like a fine peachy fuzz.

I’ll see if we can move this thread!

Actually, if I do 48 hours it’ll have to end at like 9:15am tomorrow for the vet at 9:30am. So that’s missing about three hours. Hmmmm… And I’m not sure what that will change with each other, they’re gonna be smelling different. I could put them in the same carrier? I don’t want to ruin what they have right now though.

So yesterday I put them in the pen in my room I set up to be new. Nothing in their behaviour really changed. They were excited to be with each other and both wanted grooming.

I think there may have been one nip from Pinky on Muffin’s butt early on but it can be hard to tell. I decided to do 24 hours since they seem to be doing well together. T…[Read more]

Thank you for the explanation, really appreciate the micro lesson!

It helps to know it’s unlikely he would have been too negatively affected by the syringe feeding. As for the pellets – they were the first he had eaten in about 3 days (he had ~9.5) and we initially thought he was choking so we tried the bunny heimlich. The only thing that seemed…[Read more]

Darn. They’re not available on the Canadian Amazon and shipping from the us Amazon is more expensive then the grids themselves 😯 . Guess I’ll just have to keep looking

Looks like normal shedding to me. My Rex girl had patches like that a bit ago but they just grow back. Mine doesn’t like her tufts pulled either, it doesn’t hurt but I think it’s more so just annoying. Also just so you know, you probably haven’t gotten any responses yet because the “technical stuff” section is for computer and forum function re…[Read more]

So they free roam your bedroom 24/7? I guess you’ll have to find a way to cage them at night. Multi level bunny condos can be build in any shape or size you want, maybe that would be an option. I don’t understand why he agreed to this arrangement when he knew the living space would be small and the rabbits would share your room? It’s not really…[Read more]

    Hi all 😀

My bunny has been getting treatment at the vets for a dental abscess and now needs his teeth trimmed.

My vet has quoted me ÂŁ250 (around $325). The price estimates I’ve seen online are far less than this and it seems to be strange given the same vet only charges ÂŁ70 for rabbit castrations.

Would anyone be able to let me know what p…[Read more]

And yes, you can use the antibiotics together with Panacur. Sorry I didnt see that question until now. Those two meds are often prescribed together for e c. Hopefully you’ll be able to stop the antibiotics after a cpl weeks, if the Panacur does its job.

Does anyone know if this is a Holland or a mini lop? He approximately 2 years old, unaltered, and around 4-5 pounds (2-2.5 kg). I had previously thought he was a mini lop but occasionally he’ll do the “Holland show position” and he’s not as heavy for a mini. If anyone has any insight that he might be either a Holland, mini, or a mix between the…[Read more]

I’m not sure at all, I’ve never heard of a rabbit trying to suckle. Any odd change in behaviour and I would be taking my rabbit to the vet if possible. Maybe Negan is sick? Particularly if she’s acting clingy…
