Thanks for all the responses! All of that makes perfect sense. Initially I thought I was told that he should be let out side to play 2-3 times a week. I know that is very different than putting him in a carrier and walking him around. Haha I just really like the idea cause he is just so cute and makes me happy. I am actually going through a nasty…[Read more]

I am trying to post pics but it says I am not allowed to upload media to this post. Any suggestions on how to do so? Also It is 6.5 ft long by 4.5ft tall. It has two levels. A door opens down into a ramp on the front bottom so she can walk down to exit and if I want to keep her inside the hutch I simply flip the door up. The entire bottom is open…[Read more]

Hi Bam and LBJ10, thank you for your help!! I made a vet appointment for first thing tomorrow morning. Her normal vet was out sick today 🙁
She is still in good spirits, thankfully, but it appears she has lost more fur throughout the day. Will post an update after vet.

Norway is still up in the air. I am applying for my residency permit to go in January… but it may get delayed again. My funding source has said they will try to confirm whether it will be able to start on time or potentially delayed again by mid-November (which I just realized is also when we will prob move… so maybe that will help make my…[Read more]

I agree that it really depends on the rabbit. Some relax and don’t seem phased at all about going for walks, others get very stressed anytime they aren’t at home.
When a rabbit is stressed their eyes will often look much bigger and more wide open, and when very scared you can see the whites of their eyes. Usually their breathing will be more…[Read more]

I agree with Bam. It looks a bit angry.

I know people with pet strollers for their bunnies. Personally, I would think something like that would be more comfortable.

Yeah, arthritis pain definitely makes sense. If he’s a vocal bunny normally, then the “yelping” may not be as alarming at it seems. Hopefully the higher dose of pain meds will help. You’ll have to let us know if he’s doing better after a few days.

@danaNM makes sense, you would definitely want him neutered first. Are you able to travel to Norway at this time? Just saying if that gets a bit postponed you may have plenty of time for bonding 😉

Personally, I think cats and rabbits don’t need fresh air in the sense of being carried about outside, I think it’s more for us humans who want to carry them around with us! There is really no need to take them to the pet store or to get the mail. That said, if it makes you happy and your bun isn’t stressed out, I don’t see anything wrong with it.…[Read more]

Agree with Bu. They will go through what is called the post neuter craze for a month or longer where hormones fluctuate wildly before leveling out. Hormonal behaviors can actually get worse during this time. There’s not much to do but wait it out. 🙂

I’d suggest thoroughly cleaning the couch with pet safe cleaners to get all residual pee smells off. However, some buns just can’t be allowed on couches or beds because they will pee no matter what you do.

Hi everyone,
we are back from the vets and he called our usual vet as well to describe the video. She still thinks it is arthritis pain potentially when he tries to consume a cecotrope. They have upped his metacam to 0.4ml twice a day.
No tumours or growths showed on any radiographs or X-rays and all looked normal. He is pooing and weeing fine…[Read more]

The straining and pain while trying to eliminate (and nothing off with his urine) makes me think there’s something wrong with his intestines. Maybe some kind of obstruction that’s causing pain whenever poop moves through. A tumor would be a possibility, or maybe it’s something similar to what happened to him before when things got tangled…[Read more]

@prince dorian no… not yet anyway. He isn’t neutered yet. I think after he’s neutered I will try a speed date with either Bonnie or the whole group and see how it goes! We are pretty much certain we are moving in with my in-laws mid-next month, which would be so conducive to bonding everyone more easily. All of that said, I’m still hesitant to…[Read more]

@DanaNM so did you get Cooper? I love those markings he has. BunJovi sleeping using the stand as a pillow is too cute.
@hiphopbunny – are they all getting along then? Congrats!! The last pic of the trio is perfect with the black, white and grey! & yay for Smokey getting on the chair! 😀

This is seems like it could be a controversial topic but I am very curious the differing thoughts on this. I am open to any and all opinions just please be kind as I am just figuring things out.

Hi
I got my bunny Khushi neutered 2 weeks ago. Before the procedure he was already litter training, but occasionally peeing on the couch. We thought he was marking his territory. He won’t pee anywhere else in the house.
After the procedure yesterday he proceeded to coming to the corner of the couch where I was sitting and peeing on me. And this…[Read more]
