No, that’s definitely not normal. He might have been injured or maybe he’s sick? He needs to go to a vet.
I also just wanted to say that bathing a rabbit should be a last resort. They can get hypothermia and even if they don’t, bathing them causes a lot of stress. Always try using pet or baby wipes to clean them.
Sorry this ended up being a…[Read more]

shasbun replied to the topic rabbit peeing on soft things in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 10 months ago
No, I don’t think it’s normal for rabbits to be peeing so much, but how frequently they pee depends a lot on the bun. As long as everything else is normal, don’t worry too much about it. And yes, if you want to, you can remove the soft things. If you really feel like he needs something soft, then maybe you could try soft bedding like CareFresh.…[Read more]

Chances are she’ll be fine. Just closely monitor her for the next few hours and make sure she’s acting normally.

Their setup looks great to me! Don’t be too harsh on yourself. You said that you’ve seen them binky and zoomie in there, which means they’re really happy. Plus they’re getting free roam time in the living room, so they should be fine.

Cashmere lops aren’t recognized in the US. I think it’s a UK breed. They do not have the wool gene. They have long silky outer hairs and a shorted undercoat. Are trying to keep the fur from getting tangled? Or is she actually shedding?
Hmm… wasn’t it Sonn that had a lop bunny with longer fur that would become matted in like 2 seconds?

She’ll probably be fine.

LBJ10 replied to the topic 7 month year old English Angora Hates being brushed in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 10 months ago
I’m assuming he’s an English angora then? They don’t have guard hairs, so their fur is difficult to brush through. You might try a hairbuster comb, but I think most people just keep them clipped.
Have you tried placing him in an “unfamiliar” place? On your lap? On a high surface? Sometimes it’s easier when they see they can’t simply run away.

I liked mixing the solid grids in as well. Made it look more like a furniture piece than a giant cage, haha. I bought different sets to get the square grids and solid squares.

Those are the connectors that actually come with the grids themselves. If you make a c and c cage, I cannot stress ENOUGH that you should NOT buy the cheapest grid set you find. Go for the pricier ones. The cheap ones, as I’ve learned, can come very warped, so using the connectors are impossible, which is probably a big reason why many people…[Read more]

Hmmm, I’m not sure about the feet brushing. I imagine you don’t want mattting, but usually you don’t want to remove any fur from the feet as they need it for cushioning. Hopefully someone else with angora experience will chime in!

I know you are supposed to clean and dry pinecones before giving them to your rabbit, but my daughter didn’t. She put a fresh (undried) pinecone in with her rabbit. The rabbit chewed a dozen or so of the nubs off of it before I discovered it. Will she be okay? This was about an hour ago and she’s acting normal. I gave her a handful of hay and…[Read more]

Yea he is trimmed, but his wool has already grown out so much! So he does need brushing regularly. He does love food, but while petting and eating he still squirms around when I try to brush or just runs off… Is it okay to brush their feet?

🙂 You can search “storage cube grids” or “neat idea cubes” and you should find some links to various stores.

You can get those cube grids on Amazon by looking up “wire cube shelves” or anything along those lines.

I will make one more plug for the C&C cages, while understanding that they do have a certain look, but there are things you can do to make them look more appealing. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4apeUIlpTh/

If you don’t like the look of cube condos (which was going to be my suggestion until I kept reading, LOL), maybe check out some of the things people have built in this section on this site: https://binkybunny.com/bunnyinfo/other-habitats/
If you are crafty or reasonable with building things, there are lots of things you can build that look nice.…[Read more]
