I’m so sorry, I was hopeful that she would pull through. 😥 You did everything you could and fought so hard to get her through this. Don’t blame yourself.
Binky free, Pippin.

Hazel replied to the topic Help – Is my bunny neutered? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 10 months ago
I’m sorry the former owner lied, I guess she wanted to be rid of him and didn’t care. I would still get him neutered, you don’t want to one day find yourself with a suddenly hormonal senior bun that’s too old to be neutered.
What a lucky break that he’s so well behaved though! 🙂

I’m so very sorry.
You fought so bravely for her. You did everything you possibly could. I’m so sorry she had to leave 💔
Sweet little Pippin, I hope she’s with her sister now in bunny Heaven.

PIPPIN UPDATE
Im so upset to tell you all that Pippin died today at 12.40. I noticed a change in her two days ago she was whimpering more and wanted less food although wanted endless amounts of water…the vet did finally drop off the pain meds but I do feel I had little help or advice off him throughout the whole of Pippins illness. I spent the…[Read more]

Oh god I feel awful. I feel so damn awful. I hate myself right now. I don’t know if I can do this, I don’t even know if it will work out after this. I feel like I failed them. I wonder if they both would have been better off without me. Oh god I feel awful. They’re my babies and I love them and I let them get hurt and now they’re both hiding…[Read more]

Esther managed to get out of her pen today during Blaze’s out time. I left the room for probably 15 minutes and came back to find Esther in the entrance of Blaze’s pen and Blaze in the back corner of his pen by his box. There’s fur all around the room. I think most of it is Blaze’s. Blaze’s water was spilled. I picked up both buns and looked th…[Read more]

Gotcha! Yeah I think making the pen a smidge smaller, and confining them to the pen for a few days should help!

A rubber broom!
I just got one a few months ago and wonder what took me so long to get one (after 10+ years of hand-picking up hay and unclogging my vaccum)

Hi guys!
I was wondering if anyone had any solutions for getting hay out of the carpet. I think I just need something to get the big pieces and I’ll use the vacuum for the small pieces (once I unclog it). Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks!

I’ve only been here a little over a week. I’ll try making their pen smaller. Thank you!

I think restricting their space for a little while could help. How long ago did you move? It sounds like territorial marking because of the new location. Then once they get organized again you can slowly expand the space.

All, well it’s good she doesn’t seem to be laying in her pee. When my girl got older her litter box habits got a bit lazier. She would often get up from sleeping and just pee where she was. It did help to get her a litter box with a lower side. The sell some meant for senior cats that worked out great for her.

I second the pine pellets! So good for odour control, so cheap, and lasts quite a while! Love them!

Hi. I recently moved (not my final destination, but for a while until we find a house we like), and now my bunny keeps peeing. I have two of them, but I’m pretty sure the only one peeing is my girl, Alexa. They’re in a decent-sized pen, but it’s definitely smaller than the rooms they used to get. They have the same 2 litter boxes they had, but she…[Read more]

I actually don’t know when it happens. She lounges and sleeps a LOT these days, it is hard being old 🙂 I just find it after the fact when I go to feed her or change her litter, etc. I usually see it where she sleeps the most, that’s why I wonder if maybe she wakes and has to go but too slow to get there? It doesn’t seem to be leaking, I on…[Read more]

Aww poor girl. <3 Does she get up from sleeping and just pee where she is, or is it while she is laying down?
I’m not familiar with age-related incontinence in rabbits, but my female dog growing up had this when she got into her senior years. It would be good to rule out a UTI, as they can cause urine dribbling and leaking.

I use pine pellets! They are super cheap ($9 for 40 lb from the feed store) and work really well. I just put a fluffy layer of hay on top of them.
I use pee pads sometimes (like for lining carriers) but I think using them all the time would be expensive and wasteful (so much plastic trash!).
