What did you do to bond them? I guess I was just wondering if things moved a bit too quickly since the bond is very new. Some scuffles can happen, but you really shouldn’t see fur flying in bonded pairs. Before the fight, did they cuddle, groom, share food, share litter box, etc? Once bonded they live together 24/7, but you will probable want to expand their space slowly. Sometimes new bonds can be upset if the territory increases too quickly, especially if it’s not neutral. My guess is the spurs are causing some drooling and extra juice dripping, as you suspect. So my first action would be to have his spurs filed and see if that helps.

She’s doing much better! I was able to get some sub-q fluids from the rescue and she perked up and started eating within 20 min of getting them. Ate almost normally last night and is back to normal today! Fluids for the win! So important to have in your emergency kit!

Agreed, you should wait until a month post his neuter to let his hormones level out. Also, as HipHop said, doing a couple of weeks of prebonding is an important step and should not be skipped.

You should definitely wait until his hormones are leveled out before you start bonding sessions. Trying to bond hormonal rabbits will only lead to fighting. You should do a couple of weeks of prebonding (swapping things like litterboxes around between their pens) anyway before their first face to face meeting. 🙂
