prince dorian the bun: sometimes a bun picks you and I have zero regrets.
So true. Congrats Dorian!! You’re just so cute! I love that little white stripe on his head, and of course I’m obsessed with that cute white paw. He looks SO much like my bun, in your first photo. <3

Hi everyone! I was looking for advice or to just possibly hear that someone has gone through the same thing?
I adopted a rescue bun about 2 months ago. She had no medical history, but I noticed that she had bite marks in her ear and poor grooming, nail trimming, etc. When she first came home she was sweet, but has always been a little bit on…[Read more]

I haven’t.. when Milo went for his physical when the problems first arose they checked just his front teeth I believe, and said his teeth looked aligned. I’m not really sure as to why they haven’t recommended this to me but I’m thinking of bringing it up as it seems so weird it’s literally just affecting his one nostril.

If it it is because of his dewlap being wet constantly, then you could also switch to a water bottle (I know, they aren’t the best, but it will keep him from getting wet so much)

LOL, I was squinting at the picture and I was like “that’s a mouse”!
Yeah, it happens. Rodents, bugs, etc. can get caught up in the baling.

It was not your fault, and just remember, he is happy now, and he will watch over you and he doesn’t want you to to be guilty and mean to yourself, and he doesn’t want to see you so upset.

Did you ever have his teeth thoroughly checked? I ask because there is another possibility here. Tooth problems, particularly tooth root problems, can cause issues with the sinuses and eyes.

I agree I’m kind of nervous that he will be stopping the baytril after 4 weeks.. so if all else fails I’ll be calling them back. It definitely has not been any worse… there would be days I thought maybe it was getting better ( his nose looked clearer) then it was back again, so it sounds like it has been keeping him from getting any worse. I…[Read more]

I agree that he might still be a bit too hormonal. More pre-bonding is never a bad thing.
Also, it sounds like maybe you’ve only done 1 or two sessions? Could you fill out the bonding template that’s pinned in this section and paste it in your reply? The bit about what you’ve tried so far in bonding sessions is especially helpful. ๐

Hmm, not familiar with them. Can you share the ingredient list?

Iโd say take a step back for a few more weeks to give your male some more time. They should have ideally a month or two after the neuter to let the hormones settle down. Your female could possibly use a bit more time too. More cage swaps could be good as well.

Iโve just started the bonding process for my two rabbits. My female was spayed early last month, and my male a few weeks ago. I was swapping their scents and such at first, then had them see each other with a barrier in between. They were eating together, flopping next to the barrier, and happily honking. I thought those were all good signs, so I…[Read more]

Perhaps you can redirect that energy into a dig box or something. Like hey, I can dig here all I want and my owner doesn’t stop me!

I would also add that there could be non-ec causes of sneezing/discharge, so trying a different antibiotic can be worth exploring. I also would say that going 4 weeks without increased severity in the sneezing/discharge is notable. My Wick similarly did not improve on Baytril, but when we stopped it, it got worse. That is just one case example,…[Read more]

Hi my Mom just bought some Veggie Sticks for my rabbit as treats, but I’m not sure if it’s healthy for her! According to my research on Google it said that it is healthy but I don’t think I trust it! What do I do? Is it safe for her to eat as treats? Thank you in advance! ๐

A rabbit that’s very interested in digging would probably dig in pebbles too, but it would be a lot less nice and much harder on the paws. You could perhaps cover part of the grass with metal netting (the grass will soon grow through so its ok to have a wire bottom run if its placed in direct contact with the grass), and keep a little bit free for…[Read more]
