I felt the same when Pinky managed to reach Muffin’s nose through the pens before they started bonding sessions and gave him a little scrape with his teeth. He was being crazy cause he wanted food and I didn’t separate the pens far enough! I felt so stupid. But Muffin’s nose was okay and healed. The vet even looked at it and said it was fine.…[Read more]

@Bu20055 Thank you so much. I try my best to help them feel better. I love them a ton! It’s been pretty difficult. I’m really hoping they’ll be healthy for a long time after this too. I just want them to feel better!

Sunny started the topic Adult bunny slowly losing litter habits in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 10 months ago
Hi all!
I’ve had my bunny since she was a baby and although she never had the best litter habits she mostly peed and pooped inside her litter box. Even when outside the cage, when she had the urge, she quickly ran inside a litter box to pee.
I spayed her when she was one year old. Since then and over the years I noticed a slow change in her…[Read more]

My bun is a house rabbit and doesn’t live in a cage. It’s now 5am and about 30 minutes ago I woke up to a huge bang and the sound of my bunny’s bowl, I ran in to check him and his bowl of food was all over and he was layed on the floor not moving I touched him and he didn’t move at all, I picked him up he was completely floppy, then he started…[Read more]

My sweet, sassy girl Honey died nearly two weeks ago. In retrospect she was old for a rabbit of her size (~10lb, 8 years old) but I just wasn’t expecting her to go anytime soon.
It just felt so out of the blue. She never once acted like an old lady (our dutch, Chester, is old as sin and he sure lets you know it! Such a grouch, hah), never had…[Read more]

Thanks guys so much for the reassurance. Kept an eye on her, and no doubt she is acting her normal self 🙂 Thank you for the responses, I was pretty scared

Cat treat balls are fun. Just make sure it is one where you can make the hole small enough for just one pellet to slip through at a time.
And yes, some bunnies are just lazy. There is a stereotype for lops, in particular, being lazy – aka “lazy lops”.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the color. Like Bam said, it depends on where and how it was dried. Obviously, if it’s moldy, then you wouldn’t want to use it.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Pushing/Contractions post birth? (newly adopted bunny) in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 10 months ago
To answer your initial question – No, eating a stillborn kit will not harm her. This isn’t necessarily “normal”, but it does happen occasionally.
I would be more concerned about the contractions and bleeding you are observing. It’s possible there is another baby and it is stuck. You have an appointment for tomorrow, which is good. Hopefully she…[Read more]

Hi Lu,
Not many members here have experience with baby rabbits or pregnant rabbits since intentional breeding discussion isn’t allowed. You might post on the rabbitsonline.net forum as well, as there are more members there with this type of experience. If the vet has said things are normal, I would just keep any eye on her until you can take her…[Read more]

Hi all, long time forum lurker here and I must say this forum helped me a lot!
Backstory: I rescued a stray bunny 2 weeks ago, there were a bunch outside where I am. After bringing her to the vet, did an xray and the vet palpated her, she was pregnant.
Fast forward to last night, she gave birth to 2 stillborn babies unfortunately. And she…[Read more]

I just wanted to pop in and say I’m sorry @Moonlightbunny66 for all the stuff you’ve had to deal with with your two so soon after getting them 🙁 . You’re doing a really great job with them and they are so lucky to have you as an owner! I hope Muffin’s chin gets better soon and then that’s the last of the buns problems for a long time to come!
