Thank you for the reply. She hasn’t been seen by a vet, but it has been healing really well. We’ve been keeping it clean, but we might need to take her to the vet just to make sure. Yes I will make sure they stay separated. I was also thinking that introducing another bunny may have upset their bond. Thank you for the help and positive thoughts! 🙂

Hmmmm… How often does this happen?

Rabbits are very smell oriented… I wonder if he’s smelling something? Or hearing something in the distance?

Awww I’m so sorry to hear that. 🙁

How special that you were able to be there comforting him, truly a special bond. <3

Hi there, sorry you are going through a rough spot. Definitely stop all bonding for now and separate all three. With an injury that bad, it will take some time for them to forgive each other as well.  Their hormones coming in are what is making their interactions so volatile. The ear won’t grow back unfortunately. Has she been seen by a vet?

    If…[Read more]

I am in the RabbitsOnline forum, and honestly the people there were not giving me a lot of support so I decided to come here and make a post. This is a long story, so thank you to those who read it because the past two days have been so depressing and I’ve felt so alone, like no one will give me any hope.

We have a 7 year old neutered mini l…[Read more]

Oh wow, that’s a lot to be dealing with. That must be so stressful. 🙁

I’ve alerted the mods as I know several have had to deal with some aggressive rabbits in the past, including one who had a bunny become aggressive when another was brought into the house.

I think there is still a strong possibility that this is linked to Toni being around and…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic possibly adopting a cat? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 8 months ago

I have a cat and generally have no problems with my buns, and my cat can be a bit crazy. The only time it has ever been as issue is when the bun is very easily startled or timid, or very small. I’ve had fosters like that and I just had to supervise my cat closely at first so he wouldn’t try to pounce on the bun. I also stopped giving my cat those…[Read more]

thank you all so much for taking the time to share your amazing words with me

Francis passed away last night, along with the GI stasis he developed fluid in his lungs and a high fever. I am extremely grateful that he passed away comfortably chattering away happily in my arms with the taste of his favorite juice in his mouth, thanks to the help of…[Read more]

I’ve talked a bit about this over in the thread dedicated to him, but I’m so stumped over this. Fresno is CONSTANTLY freaking out over the tiniest of things, and sometimes even nothing at all. Literally nothing. The entire house can be quiet with nothing going on and he’ll frantically start running around and banging himself into things as if he…[Read more]

im so sorry that you are dealing with this, I know the stress, because unfortunately I’m dealing with it right now. I actually had this happen between my neutered buck and not spayed female, and eventually they were able to get along. Something that really helped to move it along was setting them side by side and petting them for ten minutes, t…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic My rabbit won't poop but is acting fine. in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 8 months ago

A medium sized rabbit should produce 200-300 round (fecal) poops every day. If a rabbit doesn’t poop, there is a problem somewhere. Either the bun isn’t eating and drinking enough, or the consumed food isn’t able to pass through the GI canal. Since you are saying he isn’t eating a lot, I take it he is not eating as much as he normally does. If…[Read more]

I have 2 rabbits, I’ve had them for about two yrs

One of them stopped pooping, he is acting just fine, no teeth grinding, he isn’t eating a lot but will still eat. He is running around still. His stomach isn’t hard or bloated. What is wrong with him?

        Hi guys,

I posted previously in this thread about my 8 month old female rabbit’s behaviour. Her name is Phil. We have a second, 4 month old female called Toni. They live in separate areas of the apartment as Toni is not yet spayed. They will hopefully be bonded in the new year.

My query last time was about Phil’s bad behaviour toward me and…[Read more]
