I feel like a paranoid bun mom for always posting on rabbit forums or Facebook groups whenever something feels off about my Timothy 😔
I was cleaning his litterbox when I noticed something different about his poop. There were some pretty small, golden brown poops mixed in with larger, dark ones. There were also one or two oddly shaped ones like…[Read more]

Thank you for your answer:) There haven’t been any new people or pets in the house, but I was away for a few days and had my dad take care of them. Maybe a different person and routine threw them off a little bit.
I will definitely try to do some bonding and stress bonding sessions to see if that resolves their little scuffles. Thanks for the…[Read more]

He’s not a great hay eater, ever. I grow orchard and timothy hay and he loves them as fresh grass, and yes he’s eating a little. It’s the WORST time of year for him to get picky because the grass isn’t great right now and the garden isn’t either, there’s just less choices. I did go through some other threads and ordered some of the options of…[Read more]

Glad you think it sounds OK! 😊
Yes she definitely sounds like the former. This morning, she got up and toileted on the couch even without her litter tray there. She’s quite neurotic in general 😅
I’ll give her the night and if she still isn’t using her tray, I’ll give her back the base of the cage as she seems to prefer that on the ground. Silly…[Read more]

That sounds like a good set up and plan! Happy to hear she seems to be adjusting well. 🙂
Some bunnies do kind of hold it when they don’t have their usual box, but I imagine she will adjust soon? I would check the dig box though…
I would give her whatever box she has used the most and add lots of fluffy hay to it, she is probably just doing to…[Read more]

Hi Dana,
We changed things around today: we have penned her off in her own area with all of her stuff. She’s intermittently trying to get out but overall, surprisingly OK with it. We will keep her in there for a couple of days in a row and then allow periods of free roam, if that sounds OK? We can block access to the couch then undee supervised…[Read more]

I will be with both my buns and my significant other, staying in our apartment! We may travel out of state exclusively to visit parents, but that is still to be determined! I look forward to doing a little decoration on the buns’ cages though for the holidays, haha.

Hi! How will everyone be celebrating the holidays with their bunnies? Personally, I will be celebrating Christmas with my family and mine. Feel free to share ideas! (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, anything really).

It can take some time, even a couple of weeks, for the tummy to get back on track after a bout of GI trouble. I hope its not his teeth, since vet services are so limited due to covid. You could try giving him a bunny appropriate probiotic, because that can’t harm but it could perhaps help. Is he eating any hay?
I love the pictures…[Read more]

I *think* he’s pretty normal today. I did give him critical care, simethicone, and pain meds last night. He’s eating. He only got a limited amount of his puzzle boxes last night but they were gone by morning. His poop is small and it’s hard to tell if he’s eating a normal amount. He usually doesn’t eat all that much during the day, he’s mor…[Read more]

Hello,
I am new here. I have 2 rabbits. Oreo and buster. They both enjoy bananas & apples. They are very lovable. I had oreo (blck & white one) since april. Buster joined him about a month ago. They are best buds. I am still learning about rabbits. Any information you can give would be highly appreciated 🤍

He will be a little miffed about the vet visit, practically all buns feel insulted by a vet visit. That he takes treats and lettuce means he’s not too stressed out to eat, so I think he’ll be fine before the day is over.
You can remove all the bedding at once if you like.
