Hello, my bunny has a black spot on her back. Her skin is not black and no part of her body has black skin. It is actually pretty big too and is barely a small kind of lump. There is no fur around there either. I suspected it could be because of shedding because the very tip of her fur does have black on it. But the thing is she is not shedding at…[Read more]

They look so cute together! Cooper is certainly one floppy little dude.

Some extra pellets would be fine too to keep some food moving through them.

How long will it be? If it’s just a day, then it probably won’t be the end of the world as long as they still have something to eat. Dried herbs are fine to give if it’s all stuff they have already been getting. With it being winter, I imagine fresh grass from the yard wouldn’t be available anyway.

Hi all, just thought I would give a little update in case anyone was following.

Bun Jovi and Myra are doing great, they seem even better than at home. Perhaps all the bonding sessions re-solidified things for them. I also eliminated dandelion from their diet for now, as I had a suspicion that it’s diuretic effect might have been triggering…[Read more]

I think it would prob work best to temporarily confine her to the new bunny room area, possibly even in a pen for a few days, to let her pick a new litter box location. You can put her current litter box (slightly used) in the new area in a corner that makes sense and see if she continues to use it. Then you can slowly expand her space and adjust…[Read more]

Our bunny is 7 years old and we’ve had her since she was 4 months old.  We live in a 2 story house, and her litter box is in our first floor dining room.  She hangs out in our bedroom, which is on the second floor, but when she needs to use the litter box, she goes down to the first floor to do her business.  I would like to relocate her litter bo…[Read more]

Hi! I didn’t realize that we were running out of hay until just now. There’s going to be a heavy snow storm that is supposed to start in about half an hour, and no one can go get hay now. They still have pellets, though. What can I give them until we can get out again? We have dried herbs, too. Thanks!

Thanks for all the help! Sorry I haven’t been checking in here. I’ve scheduled their spay and hopefully they will be all ready to bond again after their recovery.

Every bunny is different. They have their own personalities and, as Bam pointed out, some of that can be influenced by early experiences. If a bunny is naturally shy and all they have ever known was a tiny cage, it may take more time for them to feel comfortable with the idea that they can venture out of their “safe space”. Continue to encourage…[Read more]

I dont think this is a problem. Your boy has had a different kind of life, where he has been able to express his rabbitude from an early age. Your girl didn’t get to do that as a youngster, because she wasn’t with you.

My bun Bam was an adult when he came to me. I dont know what kind of life he had before I found him, but judging from his…[Read more]

    Hello.

I’ve have a rescue rabbit. I got her when she was a year and a half. She was always in a cage her entire life. I have gotten her spayed snd I’ve had her for over a year. She was extremely shy and I worked very hard with her to get her comfortable and trusting. I was always there to cheer for her when she finally wanted to step out of the…[Read more]

Decreased appetite is rare with Enrofloxacin. Most rabbits don’t have an digestive problems when taking it, but as Wick said a probiotic wouldn’t hurt anything.
