Hello. My 4 week old baby bunny has this lip infection. All other bunnies are ok. Is there anything I can to treat it?

Thanks for the information! I actually do have separate piles of hay for him. He has one in a big bowl at the center of his home and one in a feeder above his litter box.

Thank you so much for the reply! He does have 24/7 access to his pellets but only in his cage. Often I do see him hop into his cage and eat some but he doesn’t seem to be constantly eating as he is out of his cage almost all day.

I currently have 3 buns that are all about 8-9 weeks old (not exactly sure on their birthdays) a lionhead named Snowball and 2 mini rex sisters named Emerald and Shadow. Emerald and Snowball seem to have bonded. All 3 seem to get along great doing the bunny 500 everytime I walk in there however Shadow is much less outgoing than Emerald.

I have been trying to get my hands on critical care and apparently no one has it. Amazon won’t have it back in stock until the end of the month at least.

Agree with LBJ10 on everything, just a few more tidbits to add. Shy bunnies (and even some outgoing ones) often much prefer to be petted outside of their cage/main home area. Neutering will certainly help, but in the meantime it would help to restrict his space a bit. He sounds like he is becoming territorial over the whole room, so giving him a smaller territory that’s his should help. Wire bottom cages are harmful for rabbit feet.

A very young bun, like your bun, doesnt yet have a mature gastro intestinal microbiome. A diverse and sturdy GI microbiome needs time to establish itself. The best food for a rabbit’s gut microbial balance is grass hay.

Yeah so far I think the switching is working out and they are getting used to the timing. They get really crazy right before it’s their turn to come out, but settle down pretty quickly. The poop wars are a bit nuts but hopefully that settles down!
