I do the same – Bun in my lap sitting on his rump and back against my stomach.

Rabbits can develop calluses on their heels. The callus can become red and irritated, which is the early stages of a sore hock but it isn’t quite there yet. Wick provided a good photo and advice on ways to help it heal.

I agree with JG. You may find someone with more experience to give advice at rabbitsonline. I do urge you to seek advice from your vet though. You wouldn’t want a “small” problem to develop into a “big” problem.

There are a few ideas on how to train a bun to let you trim their nails without restraint. It’s definitely harder to do the back feet though.

Congratulations! You have adorable bunnies.

I recently moved my bunnies into a different room. What I did to block off some areas I didn’t want them reaching, such as, under beds, I just taped some cardboard onto, and they’ve been leaving it alone. To make the room feel a bit more livable too, I bought some carpet to cover the floors, since mine are slippery.

More space will often improve behaviors, so I would say give it a shot. NIC cube grids are really handy for bunny-proofing. You can use them to block wires and areas under furniture that you don’t want them to go to, and make shorter lengths of tall fencing for areas you need to block.

Ok, so yes that’s a “I want to mount you chase”. Pekoe is then saying “no ma’am”, and asking for grooms. Sometimes buns will groom right before mounting as well to kind of woo the other bunny. Pekoe might be saying “if you want to mount me you better groom me more”, or “I’m top bun here and you should groom me, but no mounting”.
