Hey guys need help, my rabbit has been doing this weird thing where she looks like she is following an object with her eyes, but there isn’t anything moving. Kinda like when you spin for a while and your eyes keep moving. I’m worried she may have vertigo. Any help would be appreciated

    Hello,

Over summer I’ve taken in 3 rabbits from a school (they were a 4 but one passed before coming to us). They got on pretty well in our garden with the odd chase and hump. They were 2 sisters and mum. We had them spayed in November so brought them inside to recover, the mum (Stripey) needed some extra care and nursing back to full health so…[Read more]

    Hey friends

I’m new to this forum, so excuse me in advance if I’m making mistakes.

I have two very cute dwarf rabbits about 4 months old.

They are male and female and they are bonded, the male is neutered and the female is not yet.

They live indoors in a cage of 70 cm by 140 cm and the cage is open all the time we are at home

    (which because…[Read more]

    Hi all,

I have had my little girl Peggy for close to a week now. So far working out her personality has been easy, her licks and nips when she wants attention etc are easy to pick. This one has me stumped though! We have cuddles on the couch before I go to bed every night, mostly so it’s nice and quiet for her (after my noisy toddler has gone t…[Read more]

    Happy New Year everyone!

@DanaNM : How nice that you can work with the gsp, I’m sure he’s so happy to have you around! Would love to see a picture of him. It sounds like you’re making great progress!

Thanks Wick! Actually, I can’t have a wall between them – I have 2 rooms that are each for another bunny. The best thing I can think of now is to put a fence in the doorway (2 fences, because Dorian can put his face through the fence, and Pi can bite him right on the nose or close). I’m buying this Lego-like pen (search in images on Google: Tespo…[Read more]

I’m a new bunny mom and I’m obsessed with giving my baby the best diet possible to keep him healthy!

I’ve been reading about calcium and oxalates and I find out that most low oxalates greens are high in calcium and now I’m freaking out about what to feed my bun!

    Any tips?

Yes, that’s how they do a “thorough” spraying. 😉  Hopefully the neutering will help him calm down.

Trios are possible, but you do have some challenges, especially since they are free-roam, so a third rabbit will be seen as an intruder, in addition to a stranger. This is the same for someone with a single bun, but with having a bonded pair, I do wonder if your rabbits may not be as interested as a single bun to connect with the third rabbit. Is…[Read more]

At the end of the day, no harm (that I can think of) to a bond can be done by going slower versus faster. At the same time, if you do notice maybe things are being rushed and the rabbits are not melding as they should, the signs are usually obvious and you can simply retrace steps and go back. The only exception is if a significantly bad…[Read more]
