I’m actually a Griz fan! My mom went to U of M so I kinda caught on the Griz pride.
Do they offer a veterinary degree? Last I checked they didn’t but I might have read wrong. I plan to be a vet as well as have a farm/small animal sanctuary.

Give me strength y’all I can’t win with these dang children. They’re chewing the vinyl, they’re chewing their beds and mats, they’re ripping up carpet. They get 4 different kinds of hay for variety, I give them sticks and those balls and toilet paper rolls, they have wooden planks to chew on, I’ve tried every safe toy under the sun from pet st…[Read more]

I will try tape first, then. I’m hoping it’ll work. Isn’t there a bitter apple spray that works with rabbits?
No, she isn’t spayed. I actually have a forum, “Do I REALLY Need To Spay?” I am debating on it since she is a senior rabbit. I’d have spayed her earlier, but we were poorly miseducated on rabbits and I didn’t know until recently that they…[Read more]

Wenny started the topic Does my rabbit have ear mites?? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 7 months ago

Hi guys, these past few days I’ve noticed that my bunny has a few scabs on the inside of his ears. I checked closely and there was no crusty buildup at the bottom of his ear canal but I’m still worried that its fleas or mites. Most of scabs look like they were from his own scratches and if thats the case Im not sure why he’s scratching so much.…[Read more] -

Thank you so much, you’re really knowledgable!
I have emailed my vet and asked if she had considered EC. He just somehow managed to leave cecotropes over half of my living room an hour ago so I’m hoping we can get this sorted out!

EC tests are notoriously unreliable, so often vets will treat for it if there are any symptoms. The treatment for it is cheap and safe for the bun (it’s essentially a long course of dewormer along with metacam for inflammation). EC can often flair up when buns have a weakened immune system (like with aging) as it’s suspected that many buns carry…[Read more]

Hmmmm I’m not sure, but my instinct is saying that giving a half dose wouldn’t be good… maybe give whatever you have left (up to the dose needed) and call the vet in the morning?

Thank you so much for your response!
He is leaving some cecotropes in the afternoon, which I thought might be from back pain but I do see him eating cecotropes as well. These poops that I’m worried about are like really soft, mushy, wet versions of his hard poops. Sometimes they are crazy shapes or fused onto normal poops. I find them with a mix…[Read more]

@DanaNM I don’t think I have a full dose left for tomorrow. :/ The rest of the Sulfatrim is supposed to arrive tomorrow or the next day. I have a little bit left in each of the bottles and he’s on 2ml morning and night (every 12 hours). Should I give him half of what I have left in the morning then the rest at night? I was thinking that would kee…[Read more]

Thanks for the replies! I was told she was a satin when I got her, I don’t know why her vet thought she wasn’t. Her fur looks like it’s literally glowing when she’s laying in a sunny spot, if only she liked being cuddled 😞
your bunny looks like the brown version of mine!

When my foster bun went into GI stasis, he was flopping a lot on his side and looked like he was in discomfort. He also refused treats.
Please update us – I hope Zatanna is okay <3

Oh no we have to be mortal enemies now 😉 I’m from Missoula but I’ll make an exception because I love bunnies and bunny people. Show us pictures once you get the enclosure set up!

It doesn’t look like inflammation or a growth. It just looks like the end of the toe there. Unless I’m not seeing something.

Just to piggy-back on what Wick said, there are some resources here, under the “suprise litter” section, that might be helpful to you:
Regarding mom, stick to her normal diet. Whatever greens she normally gets should be fine (romaine and dandelion sound great). I know lavender should be…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Soft poops once a day in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 7 months ago
Hmmm, if he’s having some spine pain, he might be having trouble eating his cecotropes. So it might not be the metacam causing the poops, but maybe his pain preventing them from eating them? If he isn’t showing any signs of discomfort I don’t think it’s a huge issue.
Has the vet considered E cuniculi? Just wondering since you mentioned the…[Read more]
