Oh well haha my bunny is very cuddly and sociable. So she always goes wherever I go. And she wants to be me with most of the time.
Because of that I’m scared to leave her alone when I go to work, I don’t want her to get angry or something.
Soon I have to leave for 4 weeks because of work. She will stay with my mum. Will she remember me when I…[Read more]

Ahhh okay and what do you think about unlimited pellets? My vet said I can give her now unlimited pellets but I give her when she “asks”
She always sits in front of the cage when she wants them and waits haha

I would talk to your vet but I think that is seems like a valid route.
My notes say the blood test was a treponema titer, but PCR stuck out in my mind so unsure if those are synonymous or we talked about doing a PCR, but didn’t do it if it’s a different test.
My Wick’s treponema titer literally increased between when we tested him initially…[Read more]

Maybe after this round of shots is finished, even if she’s still showing slight positive, we’ll take a break from treatment? I hate stressing her out every week especially since she’s doesn’t handle stress very well.

The bumps are gone but she still gets eye crusties. The eye crusties are mostly gone at this point. I didn’t know that about the delay in the pcr test. Her blood work in December (5months of treatment) showed fully contagious but her blood work from this month showed the almost negative level. I want her to be non contagious so I don’t have to…[Read more]

Hi.
I have a male 8/9 year old lop mix rabbit named Mocha. I adopted him at 2/3 years old and since then he has suffered from ear infections 2-4 times a year.
typically we do a course of antibiotics and he’s good to go after 14-30 days.
currently he has had an ear infection since June. We started with packing his ear an Otic pack for two we…[Read more]

Depends on the mite. Advantage II is ineffective against fur mites. Ivermectin is another option too.

Keep in mind that young rabbits tend to be a bit on the lean side. They fill out once they are done growing size-wise. Wick provided an excellent diagram. I agree though. As long as your bunny is receiving an age-appropriate diet, you shouldn’t have to worry.

I was under the impression that Advantage only worked on fleas (not mites or ticks)?

How much time you spend with them depends on the rabbit too. I’m largely ignored until the evening and then it’s “pet me” and “give me food”. That’s really all I’m good for. LOL

I agree, you can try Advantage just to be sure. Otherwise, it may just be… dandruff.

Small poops usually mean a lack of hay or dehydration.

- Most vets don’t do x-rays or blood work (unless there is a reason to, ex: age). Such tests are generally not cost effective for young, seemingly healthy rabbits. If there is an adverse event in a young rabbit, it’s usually not something blood work could detect anyway. As Wick said, it’s usually a congenital defect.

Oh, that is just a cap that’s on the tip in the picture. It just looks normal without the cap.

Hi, my rabbit had a successful surgery! I was very nervous before as well since also new to rabbit parenting. It took him a few hours after getting home to leave his carrier. I was so freaked out about him not eating, but I’d give him pellets and he nibbled them, and once he came out he started eating hay again. Also my vet forgot to give me the…[Read more]
