Kachewi started the topic how much veggies? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 7 months ago
I don’t have a bunny at the moment, but I want to get one in the future so i’m just doing some research on them. I know they need veggies everyday, but I was wondering how much per meal, and how often should you feed them veggies? thank you!

When my bun not very long ago had something similar, mucusy poop and brownish color water from his anus, he got 5 days of metronidazole (Flagyl). This took care of the problem.
It could be something to discuss with your vet, because its absolutely not good if a bun loses fluids via the feces. Metronidazole is an antibiotic, and you need a vet to…[Read more]

Thanks for your input! – I just finished putting both of them back to bed, because tonight has just been too crazy! I can’t do these marathons. I also figured a couple hours into the small space that it just wasn’t working – I was intervening for all subsequent hump-fights, but it was just way worse than the tub, and Alfredo was not happy. I even…[Read more]

Hello
I’m still having ongoing issues with my rabbit.
She is very activa and alert. Is no longer experiencing the bloating. She has a great appetite but she’s pooing clear water. It’s definitely from her bum as sometimes it’s brown and it also keeps making a her droppings wet on the outside.
It doesn’t smell like much and it’s usually…[Read more]

Hi my rabbit boo is still having digestive issues but at the moment I’m struggling to get her to drink now too. She’s not drinking from her bowl. She knows where it is as she kicks it but won’t drink from it.
She has been drinking a little from a syringe but not much and is becoming increasingly fussy about it.
She’s drinking less than 100mls…[Read more]

I have never had good luck with the small space method (and I’ve bonded I think 6 pairs at this point). I have no idea (honestly) why it works for so many. When rabbits have no room to get away from each other, they have no choice but to fight if they feel threatened (fight or flight…).
I’ve always had much better luck with very large spaces.…[Read more]

Ahh! Can’t believe it’s Feb already! Today was Louie and Lola’s first vet visit as part of our family, and I’m happy to say it went wonderfully and both are healthy! Due to covid, I couldn’t go in the clinic, but the vet said they were very well behaved and weren’t too nervous. A big yay for healthy bunnies!!

I started bonding my buns Theo and Alfredo a few weeks ago, and recently (as in, today) started the 24/7 bonding method because I felt like things were going alright, but very slowly with the dates – Theo kept humping and not relenting to groom Alfredo, whereas Alfredo groomed him all the time. I put them in a very small enclosure with wire…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Health issues with 1 bun in my pair, thinking of starting trio in the forum BONDING 5 years, 7 months ago
Trios can be great, but adding a third rabbit in this situation would be very stressful for your current rabbits and likely you. Also, one of the pre-req’s for a bond is that all rabbits are healthy. Adding a third also always runs the risk that the current pair may split and then you end up with 3 solo bunnies. Definitely not something to deal…[Read more]

Aww I totally relate to how a bunny can provide emotional support!! Caring for my bunnies helps me as well.
I’m not an expert as others here are, but have read just about everything available online, etc. Based on what I have read a sick rabbit may not bond with another. I also read a widowed bun could be bonded fairly quickly after a loss. So…[Read more]

I have a large free roam space for my rabbits and have good care. I’ve had my bonded pair M x F for over 2 years now and my lady is undergoing some health issues. I’m panicking because my rabbits and specifically my girl rabbit are essential for my mental health. She is very well bonded to me and as cheesy as it sounds she’s my best friend, and…[Read more]
