It’s possible they are all getting a touch of arthritis, even if it seems like they are doing fine. I’ve also noticed my seniors can be a bit lazy about the box. I would go to a rescue centre and try to find the best fit for you regardless breed or colour. Also, mix breeds usually have healthier lives than pure breeds.

I will note that adding structures into a bonding space, whether it’s a tunnel, litterbox, etc. can arouse some territorial aggression, so just be on guard for that if you add anything in that space.

Never feel bad about taking a break during marathons when it just is not going well. Sometimes the bunnies just need a break too!

Typically a carrier meant for a large cat works great for 2 bunnies. You don’t want them to have too much space to slide around.

Update – he has periods where he doesn’t care about digging and others when he goes back to be very into it. I have upgraded his digging box with another type of sand and making it bigger, but it doesn’t look like it makes him be less obsessed with the bed digging.
