hi everyone! My bunny has been eating normally and is active, doesn’t seem ill, just scratching his ears from ear mites, He has vet appointment for early March (2nd ish)
I checked on him after spending the night alone and saw this… I looked inside the litter box and saw LOADS of dry pellet like poops, but around three of them were wet and d…[Read more]

It is fairly difficult to get an accurate reading on normal human scales becausw a bun weighs so comparatively little. I dont know if you could perhaps borrow scales from someone or buy one, they dont have to be expensive. I put my bun in a bowl and weigh him on digital kitchen scales. It’s safest to do it on the floor in case the bun decides to…[Read more]

I forgot to add that I was giving her alfalfa pellets (I thought they were Timothy) until about November, then I switched to Timothy. So maybe she was only over weight due to the fattening alfalfa pellets?

Hi Andi!!! Lovely to hear from you and Henry! So glad to hear he’s still going well!
We’ve started a 3rd wave of Covid here, which is sad. Me and my family have luckily been well so far.
My sweet Bam left us in August 2018 and my Effi in September 2019.
I have a very fluffy bun named Vilde, here’s a picture of…[Read more]

Recently Bernard has been seeming a littler skinnier to me. So I weighed her by weighing myself and then weighing myself while holding her and then subtracted the weight. I’m not sure if that’s a reliable way according to that she weights 2.8 pounds which is way less than she used to. Her vet keeps records of her weight and this is how it has bee…[Read more]

Thank you DanaNM. We just got another update and the vet said they found two bacterias in the swab so far, and they haven’t seen pasteurella. I can’t remember what they are called but one of them is found in poop and soil, and would’ve had to be poked into his skin for the bacteria to spread. They said the bacteria grows without oxygen, and doing…[Read more]

Hi there!
I have a 11 week old Netherland Dwarf, her name is Orange. She is the most adorable thing ever. However I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong. She goes from one day running up to me and licking my nose. To the next day running away from me, and backing up and I get near her. What do I do? Did I do something wrong? Any sug…[Read more]

I was just curious about the amount of treats, etc since you mentioned banana a few times in your first post. Any veggies?
If you hold a strand of hay in front of his face will he take it?

Poor Muffin, I’m so sorry. What an ordeal. 🙁 Do they think that the sore on the leg caused an infection that lead to the perforation? or the other way around? My guess would be the infection in the blood attacked the cecum?
I would personally be hesitant to jump to a surgery on the cecum with that low of a survival rate… I would want to make…[Read more]

He eats oxbow Timothy hay and Oxbow pellets
I haven’t seen him eat yet but he is currently chewing on a willow stick

Poop is great. Is his appetite back to normal?
It does sound a lot like it was probably gas pain. Can you describe his diet so we can see if there is something that might of caused it?
