Thank you so much Bam for all the information! I’ll start brushing her multiple times a week! Don’t want to repeat the same mistake to the poor girl 😥
This is how it looks dry ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/xjntiwcf334zajr/1.png?dl=0 )
the fur is tangled near the skin not above. I tried carefully trimming it while she’s asleep and thankfully…[Read more]

He ate some parsley. 🙂 We’ll have to keep giving him a little bit of that everyday now. And maybe we could put some in his hay and on some romaine lettuce eventually.

Thanks guys. Pinkiemarie good to know yours started eating more, maybe he will start soon too. I did two feedings today already, I got maybe 30 mL the first time and around 60mL the second time. I plan on doing one more today. He seems to pee in the towel every time we syringe feed him. He also makes a couple little poops in the towel while we…[Read more]

She is spayed, she just doesn’t act like it. Thank you for the helpful tip I will definitely have to try and take her to a different place to bond with her. I’ve never heard of that but it definitely makes sense. As of right now I have two non bonded bunnies in my room and so she’s not always very comfortable due to the other bunny. I’m glad th…[Read more]

He wants to make love lol. Get him fixed as soon as possible because he’s going to become frustrated and most likely destructive. In the meantime, get him a plush toy slightly smaller than him that he can mount and release some of his built up energy on.

As an update, I’ve fixed those cat scratching cardboard pieces to old carpet and put them where he usually digs and tada! He chews and pulls on that instead of the carpet now!

We’ve been at it for about 3 weeks now. I’m aware it could take quite a long time depending on how stubborn they might be. We have a carrier big enough to fit all three. My girlfriend is just afraid of them fighting if they are too close in a cramped space. I recommended the car ride initially, however we haven’t tried it yet. They do extremely…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Litter training a young rabbit – should I start from day one? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 6 months ago
The vinyl I have is slightly textured and the bunnies don’t seem to have trouble on it at all. I know some buns are very picky about their flooring, but they do get used to it. It being slippery for now isn’t the worst thing, as it will encourage the bun to spend more time in his box. Then once his training is better you can add some mats or…[Read more]

I agree with pinkiemarie, I think just keep up what you’re doing and try not to send him back to the vet unless things get worse. Small poops are good! I also think some very tempting greens (like cilantro) might be a good thing to try.

I would talk to your vet about getting Revolution. It’s a prescription flea med that treats mites as well. A couple doses should clear everything up. Resist the urge to pull off the flakey skin and scabs, as it can be really raw underneath and cause them to bleed.

Hi EinsteindaLion! Since this is an old thread, you’re likely not to get a response back, so I’m going to lock it. I encourage you to create a new topic so active members can provide their thoughts on your specific situation!
If this occurred as a one-time thing, I wouldn’t be too worried. If it continues, then I would recommend a vet visit to…[Read more]

The seagrass mats from BB are nice because they last a long time and don’t fall apart immediately like most hay mats. You can find palm plates for not too much online since they are meant to be used as disposable plates for parties etc.

How long have you been working with them?
A couple things to try would be working with individual pairings, trying a new location, or doing some car rides/stress sessions to see if you can break the ice.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? My bunny has been making this sound since last night. It’s not every breath just more excited breathing but he’s acting normally otherwise.
