Having him on your lap probably didn’t help. Being on your lap means your likely close to the ground, so it is very hard to get a rabbit to stay put if escape is so close. Some owners will groom their rabbits on a table or something so the rabbit is less likely to bolt away.

How much does he weigh? 1/4 cup of pellets sounds like it’s a bit much. I would reduce the amount of pellets. Otherwise he will just fill up on those and not bother too much with his hay.
The definition of “unlimited hay”? Hay should always be available, 24/7. Defining how much a bunny needs to consume per day is a bit trickier. I try to put out…[Read more]

It looks like a scab. Or it could be a keratinized papilloma, those are common on the ear.

Are you sure it isn’t her nipple? And it’s inflamed?

Thanks, so I ended up trying to groom him yesterday and it was everything I imagined and worse. First off, trying to catch him was a nerve-wrecking experience, he tried to run off like crazy. Then as I had him on my lap, with every stroke of a comb he would jerk and try to get away, even though I was trying to be very gentle. I also put him in a…[Read more]

Hi Freckles. I suggest you forward your concerns and situation to them.

Hello, I want to ask if bunnies can have birthmarks just like humans or what does she have here? 🙁 It doesnt hurt her or anything because I was looking and touching and she was calmly lying down. It’s pinkish color with a bit of black spotting. To me I compare it to human birthmark but I don’t know if bunnies have one. It’s on her left side…[Read more]

Hi guys,
I’m an avid shopper from Bingaling Bunnybox. I had ordered from them in November for Christmas presents but they were never shipped. The website was updated on December 10th that they were experiencing an illness/loss of mobility and were refunding orders. Mine never was refunded nor did I ever hear back from Sylvia who owns the…[Read more]

Tell you the truth… but I honestly just love annoying the living 💩 out of Bombur. He’s always been a really hands on bun, so it’s funny when I overwhelm him with snuggles and kisses, only to have him hop away and stare at me like “ugh mom you’re so embarrassing”

THANK YOU SO MUCH! It helped me a lot, to stay a bit calmer… Sorry for getting back so late…. So just a quick update, in case somebody sees something similar…
I could go to the vet the next day and turned out yes, she must have hurt herself and it got crusted… The vet just “Pulled” it a bit and it “fell off” as the tissue was already…[Read more]

I agree with what Asriel and Bombur says, buns take time! Two weeks is a very short time when it comes to bonding with your rabbit. Rabbits are very different from dogs, who will love you pretty much instantly.
Most rabbits really hate being picked up, because to a rabbit, being picked up is the first step towards being eaten. It is important to…[Read more]

Be patient 🙂 bunnies take time. I’ve had my boys almost 4 years, and only in the past year or two has Asriel started opening up and being the most absolute loving little bunny. Some bunnies take time. And you haven’t had him very long either. Just lay on the floor with him and do your own thing. Eventually he might grow to like pets. Some bun…[Read more]

My boys are both 5 pounds (and 4 years old) and I have never fed them more than 2 tbsp since they were around 4-5 months old. At that point they would naturally go for the pellets over the hay. I would decrease pellets and keep the greens at 1-2 cups. My boys get about 1.5-2cups of greens in the evening and 2tbsp of pellets in the morning.
