Thank you for the idea. Iโm definitely going to try that, but can the ink in the phone books be toxic to them? Also if I get one of those cardboard cat scratchers should I avoid cat nip or if itโs safe/enjoyable for buns ? Iโll have to do some more research. I was also thinking of providing her with a digging box with some eco earth/ clean top s…[Read more]

Even neutered rabbit often get a bit of “March hare syndrome” this time of year. It’s due to the return of the light and the days getting longer. They can get something similar in the fall, but it’s as a rule more marked in the spring.
It’s normal, and it subsides after a few weeks. While its going on, the rabbit can be very energetic, pee- and…[Read more]

Yes he is neutered, so it must have been the sudden change that brought it on. This morning he is much better!

That is a pretty small detail, so I don’t think it matters. Unless one is going to lash out at the body of the other as you put them in the small space– but if they are that aggressive with each other, I don’t think you’d want to approach bonding that way at this time, haha.

Changing scenery does make the environment somewhat “new”. I have to rabbits who free-roam with each other and when I re-arrange things, there is some tension that happens between them as they seem to navigate a “new space”.
Is he neutered? Many of these behaviors align with a hormonal rabbit and are very natural.

Hello everyone, I’m about to attempt bonding Betty and Herman again. 3rd works like a charm? I’ve everything set up now but my question is as I’m doing this on my own, which rabbit do I put in the tiny space first? I really can’t tell whose the dominant one but I think its probably Betty as she’s older, bigger, female and Herman has licked her a…[Read more]

Thank you for your response!
Actually, Smokey is doing a lot better now. I did give her a dose of Smithicone, and some tummy rubs which got a lot of gas out. And she’s eating!! ๐ ๐ Yay!!
I’ll definitely be spending the night with her though, just to be sure. ๐
Thank you again!!

Hello! This is my first bunny, I’ve had him for about a month now. He is very sweet and besides the occasional pull at his carpet he is very well behaved. He has a large dog play pen and is free range all day except for when I’m not home (with covid im only gone for a couple hours max). Although, today I rearranged my room to give him more floor…[Read more]

It does sound like something has caused an upset. The peeing on the bed could potentially be a pain response. Is she eating anything at all? I’m sure it’s probably late there, but are you able to try some simethicone and belly massages? If she doesn’t snap out of it after a few doses of simethicone, then you will need to do more “invasive”…[Read more]

About 5 minutes ago I went in to feed my rabbits, and I noticed that Smokey didn’t come running out like she always does. I checked on her, and saw that she has some extremely mushy poops coming out, and she was hunched in a corner. I don’t know if her tummy is bloated, or if she’s having some gas, but this isn’t like her. She even peed on the…[Read more]

Phone books and corrugated cardboard cat scratchers are big hits for bunnies that like to have deconstruction projects. Have you tried either of those?

I have a parrotlet. Pips cage is not in the same room Charlie sleeps in, but it is in a common area of the house. What Pip tends to toss out of cage pellet and seed wise is not a large amount, but Charlie does want to eat it. I sweep often to prevent her from eating from the floor and possibly getting any tummy issues. Pip tends to eat mainly in…[Read more]
