Thank you all! I decided against taking his urine in and he’s got a full appointment this morning instead. Will update!

Usually it’s moving in his eyesight but about a foot or two away from him. For example, I was waving around a cat toy near the kitten, about a foot away from him and he grunted and lunged. Another example, I was sweeping up hay bits about two feet away from him, to his side and he ran at it and yanked it right out of my hand.

Hmm… you mention objects, but then talk about him accidentally biting your finger. I agree with Hazel in asking if the objects are moving when he attacks.

You said he has accidentally gotten you finger while attacking an object, so are you moving the object around in front of him when this happens? They have a blind spot right in front of their face, something moving in and out of their blind spot can startle them and trigger a defensive response.

I think I figured it out. I used to use these plastic mesh things over the litter to make it easier to dump out turds, but the holes in the mesh are pretty small. Thank you! Usually one person has to hold her, while I squeeze in the medicine. After a few times of doing this, she seems to be getting better.

As the others have said, ec can explain both the kidney issue and the hind end paralysis/weakness. There might of course still be sth else going on, but its absolutely worth asking your vet about.

Treatment for ec is a dewormer (Panacur, fenbendazole) for 4 weeks  and often an anti inflammatory painkiller (metacam, meloxicam), because ec causes…[Read more]

Just wanted to add that EC also tends to affect the kidneys, so it would be good to ask the vet about it as it could explain both the kidney failure and neurological symptoms. The treatment for EC is usually inexpensive and has few side effects.

I’m honestly not sure if he drank water right before. I was also just thinking that since bunnies body temperatures are naturally higher, it could be his breath and forming condensation when it touches the bedding. And its good to know that the back teeth would be the problem, thank you.
