Bunbun has been much more himself today! Last night after I posted he ran straight to his greens and ate them, but still seemed to feel crummy off and on. If you can’t get rid of the smell with everything you’ve already tried: check her glands. Rabbits have scent glands which are near their anal opening, they’re about the size of a nostril and are on each side. Bunnies can smell really awful if their scent glands are clogged. It’s beautiful to see that Coco is so well-cared for! We tend to blame ourselves when a rabbit dies, but the sad truth is that rabbits are incredibly fragile and that they’re masters of hiding illness. Coco proves that you’re a great bunny owner, and I wish you many happy times together!

Binky free sweet Cotton! You are so missed because you are so loved. It’s amazing how bunnies can make your life different, even if they’re only with us for a short time. Cotton would be so proud to see you become a vet and help other buns!

I think chloroplast is fine actually, in that it provides a hearty structure and flat floor. I would not use it on its own though. In all the C&C cages I’ve built, I have used cage grids for the floor, with chloroplast zip-tied to it for an even flooring, and then carpet on top of the chloroplast. I dealt with this a bit with Bertha, who passed Christmas of 2019, and currently a bit with Bun Jovi. Like every little thing I start asking myself “is this it?”.
