We would be very grateful for pictures! By watery, do you mean brown stains on his bedding, or do you perhaps mean sticky poop? (If you have trouble uploading pictures, pleade PM me or another leader and we’ll help!)

If your bun has round and normal poop as well as these loose stools, its generally not considered true diarrhoea. True diarrhoea…[Read more]

Agree with the others, it should be fine but I would have her locked up somewhere safe if possible. You know they’ll take an opportunity like this to wiggle their way to an electrical cord and try to burn the house down. 😉

Hi, i have a Holland dwarf rabbit, 6 months. I’ve been seeing changes in my bunny stool sometimes for a few days. Watery diarrhea looks like poop but is dry. But all it other poop is normal. If my bunny is pooping 300 then only 1 of them looks like that. Does it have a problem?

It can be a dominance thing, but I wonder about the rest of their behaviour. Does the male rabbit still spray and mark as well?

I read an article yesterday about rabbit puberty and read about a rabbit who had a third testicle which hadn’t dropped. It was found inside his body, and still produced…[Read more]

    Agree with LBJ 🙂

It can feel bad to be gone that long when your bunny isn’t used to it, I know that. We decided to celebrate Sinterklaas with my boyfriend’s parents last year, and it was the first time in 3 years that I was away from home for more than 4 hours.

I was hesitant to leave our senior bun alone for 12 hours, so I asked a neighbour to…[Read more]

I have yet to see any fighting but I have them separated now. All they did before was hump sometimes and clean and cuddle each other. The female is definitely not pregnant because she isn’t showing any signs and she just went to the vet.

Thank you for your advice. I did decide to separate them last night and they were both pooping and eating well before I went to bed. This morning both of them had irregular poops in their side of the xpens. I’m not sure if maybe they’re both producing too many cecotropes and fall asleep sitting on them but there are several small mushy spots. I…[Read more]

I understand that you don’t want to stress them out, but as Wick said, they aren’t bonded at this point. They have been getting along up until now because babies get along with anyone, but that will change once hormones are in full swing. Sure they might get grumpy about being seperated but surely that’s preferrable to an unwanted pregnancy (which…[Read more]

Hi thanks for responding. I knew that the humping was normal, but didn’t realise that they froze and fell off like they did when mating if they had been neutered. Thanks for letting me know x

Yup, it does sound like sexual frustration. Buns can bite down pretty hard when they mount another bun, so hard that it breaks the skin of the mounted bun. It’s not about aggression or trying to cause hurt.

Since sex drive in a young intact bun is very strong, especially this time of year, removing him from your body parts may be the best option.…[Read more]

Moults can be spectacular, especially the big spring moult. From what you describe it sounds like a normal moulting spot. It happens at times because moult can be patchy.

Up until last year our bun didn’t tolerate brushes, but now I can gently comb him. For 7,5 years our little mister won’t-be-brushed had to be gently plucked, and you could…[Read more]

Ok I will try all of those things I am currently either squealing or saying no and then gently pushing him away. He usually just put his teeth on me but recently he’ll start to get ancy and look for something (idk what) and then bite/nip me, I honestly think it might have to do with sexual frustration cause he also gets all ancy and looks for…[Read more]
