10lbs is overweight for her. The vet never told us what her ideal weight should be but I estimate that it should be 6-8lbs (we don’t know her and Thumper’s breed(s)) and I’ll try to find their phone number and call to see.

Wow!!! Lots of great info to absorb there. Thank you. As far as Stir Fry not really I more sauté in an instant pot. I live for instant pots. There is usually only the Two of us here, plus Loki, so Toaster Oven or the Instant Pot with the Air Fryer. He Is in his room hiding whenever we cook he does not like sizzling or the fan of the oven…[Read more]

I’d say him licking himself is a good sign. The rabbit mum typically leaves her kits to themselves for the largest part of the day, after wrapping them in a warming “cocoon” made of her own fur. She visits the kits once or twice per 24 hours to feed them for a few minutes. This works because rabbit milk is extremely fat (= very high in calories)…[Read more]

So I have a baby bunny about a week old. They just opened their eyes yesterday. After I feed him I been trying to get him to pee but I can’t get him to pee no matter how much I stimulation him. But I did notice in the box where he sleeps there is tiny poops. And one day when I was feeding him he started to live his paws them he made his way down…[Read more]

It’s not recommended that you use scented candles in the same room as rabbits. Whether scented candles actually could cause respiratory tract damage in rabbits or not, it’s one of those “better safe than sorry” things. That said, unscented candles can also produce unhealthy fumes and soot, so its not just about the scent.
As far as kitchen fumes…[Read more]

Hello Everyone,
I am wondering about kitchen fumes. Loki my 7m Lionhead has the whole area except bedrooms and bathroom. His room is just off the kitchen which is in the center of the house. If I am cooking and it gets smoky it kinda goes everywhere, although have two ceiling fans and windows it does not always help. Will these fumes harm his…[Read more]

Blackberries! 😋
Fingers crossed her liver tests come back fine so you can start her on the Panacur.
You could mix some baby fruit puree/smoothie in her CC, but sugar content in those products is still rather high even though it’s natural fruit sugars (commonly banana or mango or pear). Berries sounds ideal, but 7 dollars is quite steep 😳
I give…[Read more]

It could be very stressful if there are dogs around. Many vet clinics offer nail clipping (by a vet tech) for a reasonable fee. (That doesnt guarantee freedom from dogs in the waiting room, of course).
If the nails are white you should be able to see the quick? My bun has some white nails and some black (he has white markings). The white nails…[Read more]

My apologies, I missed the fact that she is 10 pounds 😬That would make it difficult to weigh her in a bowl. (I had a bun who was 6.6 pounds and he really filled out the bowl!)

I was planning to use welded chicken wire when I build her hutch but I can easily use pet-proof screen/mesh instead. I’ll definitely ask my vet about that when I take her in to get vaccinated soon. I am not really in a wet area but there is a riverbed a couple miles from my house and we still get mosquitoes.
She wouldn’t be able to be protected…[Read more]

White nails against white fluffy hair…argh!😜
Would it be too stressful to take him to my dog grooming friend…I hold, she cuts? Hubby not good in these situations.

I stopped at the shops and picked up a couple of options, blackberries, strawberries and banana. Will see what she likes best. First and last time I’m paying $7 for a tiny punnet of blackberries, lol.

Good that she got some fluids. Poor girl, she sounds really stressed to be biting you. Fingers crossed for good results.
I can tell you: bananas are bunny crack 😉 One problem though: once they’ve had a taste, you’ll never eat one again without having to share. Or you’ll get THE STARE! Those round big eyes staring up at you: feeeed meeeee!…[Read more]
