Thank you so much for being understanding. It means a lot. The pandemic has been rough and losing Cookie has been terrible. After I posted I was afraid to login because I felt so guilty and still do. I decided to check and give an update even though it’s been months since she passed.

I would take her to the vet and get an x-ray. Since she’s showing signs of pain the next day, I would def get it looked at.

I wonder if you could fashion a lid out of NIC cube grids for a run? You could maybe make a smaller area out of a couple x-pens as a play area, and attach a roof that way? Rather than trying to fence in the whole yard?

Aaw, Dorian – poor baby. When Binkie had tummy trouble, I gave her some good tummy rubs, and syringed her some warm herbal tea and pellet mush. She was a good girl with syringe feeding, so I had hardly no trouble getting the mush into her. Please give us an update when Dorian’s feeling better! <3

Some bunnies like canned pumpkin in their CC too. You might also try some other brands of recovery food. 2 of my bunnies like the CC apple banana, the other two like the Sherwood recovery food better. They all have their preferences!

I would recommend going to the vet to have an x-ray conducted, as it will inform you how to best care for your rabbit during recovery. I actually currently have a rabbit who has a fractured front paw. I weighed Bertha by holding her and standing on a digital scale. It wasn’t perfectly accurate, but she was way too big for the kitchen scale!

I also tend to go more by feel than weight. You should be able to feel the bumps of the vertebrae, but not the whole bone, if that makes sense? I like to be able to feel the hip bones as well, but not too sharply.
