EC can affect other organs. I believe there are a few known cases of it causing heart damage, but they are rare.

It looks pretty chunky to be a cottontail. It looks like a European rabbit. Whether it is “wild” or not would be harder to tell. There are places with feral populations of European rabbits that live and breed in the wild. That bunny could have been dumped by someone or it could have been born in the wild.

You are telling very nice things. I’m sitting at home. My biggest activity is looking through the window. 😂😂😂

If there’s no sign of a medical reason and he is well bonded with the other rabbit, he may simply be a rabbit who is not adherent as others. You can try removing surfaces he’d be naturally tempted to pee on and also rearranging and adding litter boxes may help.

Hi, my partner and I have an elderly, blind male rabbit named Chewy. He’s around 11 years old and lost his partner back in September. A few weeks ago, we brought home a new rabbit (named Maggie) to try to bond with him. Maggie seems very interested in Chewy but Chewy doesn’t seem all that interested in her. I recently got them to groom each other…[Read more]

Hello, this is my bunny Nipoolas, who is sleeping soundly and hates hay at least for now.

When I brought him home, the first thing he gets to eat was timothy hay. He LOVED it. Last summer, I introduced him some veggies little by little. 🥬 Then he stops eating hay, at all.

I tried many ways to get him eats hay again. I tried different brands…[Read more]

I live in Pennsylvania USA and there is a bunny outside I would like to help if it is domestic. It has some similar colorings to our local wild rabbits so I am wondering if anyone has an easy way to tell the difference?  Thank you for any advice you might have.

That’s wonderful! I read a story just yesterday about a woman who loved watching a bird she saw on a walk, and years later she’d followed her growing passion to become a leading ornithologist.

Meanwhile, my May 1st is the first day both vaccine shots have reached full efficacy! It’s a good day.

White rabbit, white rabbit, white rabbit.

Today I drove an hour and a half (each way) to see a single bird. A single wild bird that I had no guarantee of seeing. To put it in perspective, this is a species that is maybe seen once per year in my entire state, and not in breeding plumage in May when they’re supposed to have left on migration for…[Read more]

Rabbit urine is always very concentrated, so I wouldn’t worry about the colour unless you find spots of blood on her bedding/shirt.

What kind of set up do you have where he’s able to have his own garden and how big is the garden?

My bunny gets along great with both mine and my sister’s cats for the most part (recently my bunny lunged at one of them when we were all laying on my bed, but I think that has to do with my bunny needing fixed). My bunny was a baby and the cats were adults when introduced. Two of the cats are mousers, so I wasn’t too sure at first, but it’s…[Read more]

I avoid being around the babies as a result and leave their care to my mom.

During their bonding my male would often nip at the female and she commonly reacted in fear and would run away. She is half blind and easily startled. As they grew closer her stopped nipping at her and moreso occasionally “prunes her” where he started with licking then…[Read more]
