Hii! I have two free roamers and they’ve formed a bad habit of marking the couch, usually the spots I sat most recently so I understand this to be territorial. They’re both spayed and neutered and they’re good with the litterbox otherwise. Biggest problem about it is I can never catch them doing is because it always happens sometime at night while…[Read more]

Thought I’d share a pic of the incredibly high-maintenance fella who feels good enough to flip his plate around. Also I remember being told something I can put on his foot sores to heal them, like a medicine, but I don’t remember what that is.

I know a lot of people were concerned with my buns behavior. I have two intact bunnies of opposite genders in the same room. They seemed like they were bonding but y’all informed me they were just eager to mate and it was dangerous especially with their size difference. They were finding their ways into each other’s enclosures despite my best…[Read more]

Thank you for all that information!
It there any chance you can share examples of the big reconstituted wood mesh toys you have?
I also moved to and she was a gift from my fiancé. I have another bun named Cas who was denied boarding when I flew to where I am now. We’re in the process of having him come up here. So she should have a bun friend…[Read more]

We are now in the living room. There have been bunny acrobatics! Like binkying over each other and everything. Otherwise she still tries to mount so I’m expecting it to go about the same, so far nothing extreme. Everytime they almost settle and cuddle one gets up for one reason or another and they end up resting apart. Both have groomed the other…[Read more]

Hello!
She is a beautiful bunny. Bunnys can be very destructive my nature. Is she spayed? Intact buns can be more destructive, sometime this sorts the issue
You mentioned she gets hay in the morning, is this topped up throughout that day so it is unlimited? She could be chewing if she’s looking for extra hay maybe.
Many buns enjoy a dig box and…[Read more]

Hello, I’m looking for some help and advice for my new bunny, Butters. She is a 1 year old standard rabbit. She’s been with us for a little over a month.
When we aren’t home or can’t watch her, Butters stays in her cage which is 5 ft by 6 ft and is 2 ft in height. First we had some of those foam puzzle mats on the floors but she ended up ripping…[Read more]

Kiwi: This is an old post. We ask members to not reply to old threads, it is unlikely that the original posters are still active on the forums.
I do happen to know, though, that the bun Bombur who is mentioned in the thread is still around, he’s an old man now 🙂
Please start a thread of your own on this topic. EC is a topic that (sadly) never…[Read more]

Well the boys forced me to move them into their final home bright and early by jumping out of the Xpen I bonded them in. Kinda funny, but not how I expected to wake. I just went ahead and moved them into the final home then. They seem so happy to be in a bigger space. Explored and zoomed for almost two hours now snuggled next to each other. Hope…[Read more]

You have such great insight and experience, Dana, it’s nice that someone can relate 🙂 I got Snoopy kind of on impulse, thinking I’d eventually get a trio, but like your girls, him and Maxwell definitely don’t seem bondable. So yeah, having the 2 not bonded but can keep company might be a nice solution. I’ll have to think it through more, but…[Read more]

Yes it’s so tricky! Bun Jovi was a mounter, which was never an issue with Myra as she would just run away and he would tire out. But when I tried to bond him into a quad it became a huge problem as he wouldn’t stop with Cooper and it would cause fights. So you are right in that it depends on both rabbits.
And I totally relate to the feeling like…[Read more]

Yes extremely! Somehow I’ve used up an entire 4 bedroom house LOL one time or another with Snoopy. I’d almost rather try a different bunny than sit in the garage or something extreme after all this. Might bring them down to the living room, if they do good enough where I don’t have to intervene, at least I can have them there almost 24/7 and try…[Read more]

Also I did remove one of the gates in their room as I had it doubled. Assuming she can’t jump it, will make things much easier since they can interact now and it has a door. The whole point of this is for me as much as them, with 4 rabbits I don’t really have time to socialize with Snoopy (he is needy) as much as he needs and pay attention to the…[Read more]

Ugh so frustrating! The excessive mounting can be hard to overcome, and unfortunately the only solution I know of is to keep trying to work through it, mixing up locations as needed.
