I wish!!  🙂  He hates CC with a fiery passion, unfortunately.  Last night he finished almost all his greens as well as all pellets (with encouragement), plus hay — so he does have some good days.  I’m mostly just concerned about how he seems to need help finding/noticing it and if there’s anything I can do on that front, so that he can find it…[Read more]

Having a happy home and proper care is better than many bunnies get! I’m sure things will get better, the bad sometimes comes in waves but will subside.  All the maintenance and giving meds right now is stressful so thanks for caring so much.

Hi, thought I’d ask here out of curiosity to get others thoughts. I just opened a new box of hay, supposed to be 2nd cut but it’s 3rd. I have 80 lbs of it… So wondering if it’s really a big deal or so I need to buy some coarse hay to mix in. The 2 rabbits already get a little oat hay mixed in. They mostly eat the oats.

My one rabbit doesn’t eat…[Read more]

Walter, intact, spayed female at shelter.

Walter is super mellow, NOTHING fazes him… I mean nothing.

Of course, personality of female unknown.

    Worth trying?

Dana – Yes, it does seem that way, doesn’t it?

I agree about trying some critical care, if you haven’t already. Some bunnies like the taste and will eat it off of a spoon or plate.

    That’s very frustrating!

Have you done any imaging? like x-rays, ultrasound, etc? That would probably be my next move to see if something is going on internally.

I just moved cross country with my four bunnies. It was 6 days of driving, with 8-12 hours of driving each day. None of them would eat or drink while the car was moving, but halfway through each day we would take a longer break and offer wet greens. I never syringe fed during the day, but did have to syringe and give fluids to one bunny in the…[Read more]

Thanks! She is very prone to and has a bad history of stasis episodes, so because of that we cut all greens and fruit from her diet years ago. She’s been eating the timothy hay-based Sherwood Pet Health pellets for years and never had an issue with them. She’s only eating maybe 2 tablespoons worth, and generally only overnight, so I don’t think…[Read more]

Thank you, me too! They just can’t catch a break. Hopefully once I get this all sorted it’ll be smooth sailing from here.

I am mainly concerned about the long flight – it will be 8 hours on the plane and 10 hours in total, door to door, so I am afraid wet greens will not be enough for such a long trip. I’ve tried everything including putting a bit of apple juice in his water bowl to no avail… he would not touch it and would even knock it over. So syringe feeding…[Read more]
