Unfortunately I am not experienced with seeing a female through recovery but I think calling the vet is always the safest choice in this case, especially since you have a picture.

Hi all! I got my two girls spay 4 days ago and everything is going great. They’re eating and drinking and poops are all normal! They’re even being angels about taking their pain medication. However when my girl Brandy stood up on her hind legs today, I saw the incision and it looked like a sac filled with blood? The blood was under the skin, not…[Read more]

Thank you Susanne. 😭 I’ve been feeling so bad that they’re dealing with this stuff but honestly they seem just as happy as ever, and maybe it’s secondhand placebo effect but I didn’t notice them scratching their ears at all yesterday except when I put the drops in which is fantastic. I can’t wait to get their ears cleaned and have them back to 1…[Read more]

Ok so I put both buns in an xpen in my bedroom for almost 3 days and it went fine, my girl even did a bunch of binkies every morning. I put them back in their room and after a day I saw them go at each other again! I’m not sure if they snuggled but I do always find them together under the same house. They seem fine all the time except these…[Read more]

Hi friends!
Chito is now 7 going on 8 and his chronic respiratory issue is cropping up again. He started having milky nose discharge around last month, so we took him to the vet, did xrays and it showed pneumonia and pleural effusion which narrows his esophagus.
We got started on Azithromycin and the vet said that she added other things in the…[Read more] -

I just got him two months ago so he was still 7. Benji’s old owner kept him in a cage:( but she did have a litterbox for him and said that he used it. Yes, he is neutered and I currently have two litter boxes for my rabbits, but they don’t mind sharing at all. I’m not sure exactly what age he was neutered, but I’m sure he’s been neutered f…[Read more]

I wish!! 🙂 He hates CC with a fiery passion, unfortunately. Last night he finished almost all his greens as well as all pellets (with encouragement), plus hay — so he does have some good days. I’m mostly just concerned about how he seems to need help finding/noticing it and if there’s anything I can do on that front, so that he can find it…[Read more]

Having a happy home and proper care is better than many bunnies get! I’m sure things will get better, the bad sometimes comes in waves but will subside. All the maintenance and giving meds right now is stressful so thanks for caring so much.

Hi, thought I’d ask here out of curiosity to get others thoughts. I just opened a new box of hay, supposed to be 2nd cut but it’s 3rd. I have 80 lbs of it… So wondering if it’s really a big deal or so I need to buy some coarse hay to mix in. The 2 rabbits already get a little oat hay mixed in. They mostly eat the oats.
My one rabbit doesn’t eat…[Read more]

Walter, intact, spayed female at shelter.
Walter is super mellow, NOTHING fazes him… I mean nothing.
Of course, personality of female unknown.
Worth trying?

Dana – Yes, it does seem that way, doesn’t it?
I agree about trying some critical care, if you haven’t already. Some bunnies like the taste and will eat it off of a spoon or plate.
