My vet “sees” rabbits, but there aren’t any nearby vets that specialize in them. If they can’t figure it out, they recommended I go to another vet 2 towns over who has more experience, but even they don’t specialize in rabbits. I never had an issue finding experienced exotic vets before!

Poop can vary in size a bit. Finding a few smaller poops mixed in with “normal” ones isn’t usually a cause for concern. It can simply mean a little less food moving through at different times of the day, as Dana suggested.

I’ll have my husband help take pictures. I haven’t been as consistent cutting them the past year, but they are really difficult to/scary to cut now.

Dewclaws can end up with a bit of a hook on them. I agree, do you have a picture so we can see how bad it really is?

LBJ10 replied to the topic my bunnies wont eat alfalfa pellets in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 3 months ago
If they are getting at least one source of alfalfa, then that’s fine. You can feed alfalfa hay and timothy pellets, no problem.

Seriously, thank you SO much!! Teddy and his late BFF Athena are my first and only bunnies, and I don’t know were we’d be without this forum. Teddy’s doing great for 12, still doing all his favorite activities, happy-bunny…[Read more]

I will say that if your rabbit is getting alfalfa hay, they probably don’t need alfalfa pellets– plain adult pellets…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Excessive peeing on the bed?? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 3 months ago
Bed-peeing is a pretty common problem, even in neutered buns. Something about the soft texture and strong smell of humans can trigger bunnies to pee there. Another variable is that he had EC, which can cause incontinence and other urinary issues. Sometimes there can be EC flair-ups as well, so you might talk to your vet to make sure he doesn’t…[Read more]
