Hello Friends!
I just adopted a 5 month old baby girl from a shelter. She’s been with me for 48 hours. The shelter recommends that I keep her completely separate/out of sight from my current bunny for at least 2 weeks. Normally he is free roam, so I have limited his space to his bedroom and the hallway, and she gets a big area in the li…[Read more]

Thank you everyone! I separated him from our other rabbits, he is eating and drinking but still not gaining weight. He’s at the vet now…hopefully we will get some answers. He has the sweetest little personality, seriously the best rabbit we have ever had. I hope they can give us some answers.

Hmm… is something maybe hurting her? I think that eating, drinking, and pooping normally is a good sign though! Keep watching to make sure these habits are normal. Sorry I couldn’t provide much info. :c Hope she’s back to her energetic-self soon!

Confirmed ear mites!
The vet was suspicious of how she could have gotten ear mites. They didn’t seem to think they could have been dormant or unnoticed for a while. They may have screened her for mites when she was in for her spay last month but I didn’t ask. They were sooner pointed to possible mites in a bag of bedding than her having an…[Read more]

Hi all,
I have a 7 month Holland Lop, and she was spayed about 3 weeks ago. After she was cleared by vet to return to normal activity, she had a-lot of spunk in her and was more energetic and adventurous then usual. Although, the past 2 days her behaviour/activity has winded down. She dose not seem to want to run around as much, especially when…[Read more]

Here is a web page with some pointers on rabbit weight:
http://www.therabbithouse.com/diet/rabbit-weight.asp
At eight months rabbits will have reached their adult height and lenght, but the adult muscle mass will not yet be fully set. So its normal and good for a young bun to keep gaining weight slowly for quite some time still.

It’s really hard to get a picture of, so hopefully these show it. It doesn’t look as bad as it feels and she is super squirmy (she used to be super skittish, but is better now). It doesn’t completely curl into her foot, but it still seems uncomfortable and it is at an angle when she is standing on…[Read more]

Can i ask a question from different topic on here?
I have no idea what breed is my bunny so I don’t really know how much she should weight. She’s always growing and I weight her every week. Now she has a little over 2 kilos. But I don’t think she should go really higher than that. I know I should check her ribs or spine if I can feel them and I…[Read more]

That sounds just right because she usually gets them in the afternoon/early evening after she slept.
I read smaller poops could be when something stressful happened or she got scared is it right?
