Hi all,
I have a 7 month Holland Lop, and she was spayed about 3 weeks ago. After she was cleared by vet to return to normal activity, she had a-lot of spunk in her and was more energetic and adventurous then usual. Although, the past 2 days her behaviour/activity has winded down. She dose not seem to want to run around as much, especially when…[Read more]

Thank you for your input.
Yes, I am glad she is still eating, drinking, and pooping well.
I don’t think it has anything to do with her being hurt only because when she dose decided to roam around she acts totally normal (doesn’t act like anything is bothering her).
It is just the fact that she is not as eager to come out of her cage, and roam…[Read more]

Vet says it’s likely gastric stasis, probably caused by stress. And because bunnies stress out over EVERYTHING, who knows what triggered it. Looks like we caught it in time and can medicate him to get his gut sorted out. Thanks everyone! Going to keep a super close eye on him over the next few weeks.

Awww thank you all so much!!! ๐ย You are so lovely.ย He really does look like your avatar, Hazel!ย And yes, we are especially admiring of his hair. ๐ย He’s all set for his tween years with the emo hairstyle and newfound obsession with junk food (the rolled oats we’ve introduced to tempt his appetite and help him keep his weight up).ย I am so t…[Read more]

I have never heard of this problem before, but knowing rabbits, I’m not that surprised 😂
You could try saving a tiny bit of the old soiled litter and sprinkle it on the new litter, so it already has her scent on it?
I scoop out the peed-on litter and as much of the poop as possible a cpl of times per day. Once a week, or if there’s sth I want to…[Read more]

Aww I hope he’s ok! Sounds like a pretty, sweet, mellow bun <3 ❤️. Dwarf rabbits are already so fragile, it hurts to see them not the best they can be. Good luck! 🍀🍀🍀💘💘💘

Hi, I changed my bunnyโs litter to wood pellets which work incredibly well. However, whenever we change her old pellets with new ones, she gets scared of stepping in it. She jumps in it but quickly jumps out and kicks it everywhere. The weird thing is is she only gets scared of it when itโs NEW as in recently changed. As we keep adding her dro…[Read more]

They will “fill out” rather than grow. (It’s the same with many humans, we go through a stage when we’ve reached our adult height but are still long legged and skinny like foals). Muscle mass needs time to form, and bone density will also increase during, say, the first 2 years.
