I agree with Dana. Has your husband had allergy testing? Does he know what grasses he is allergic to? I assume he hasn’t since it sounds like this was a surprise. You can always do trial and error. As Dana said, many people who are allergic to Timothy are OK with orchard grass.

Walter is “half lopped”, Boos ears are fairly straight.  But neither have the little lionhead triangles.  But both are perfect!!

From a few sources, I’ve read the average normal water intake for rabbits is 50-150 mL/kg body weight daily. So unless your bun weighs over 6 kg, that’s a lot of water!

Despite the rescue thinking it’s not a big deal, I would definitely have her seen by a rabbit savvy vet.

I’ve found that shy or anxious rabbits will go through phases of adjusting to new places. I think whatever room you spend the most waking hours in is the best for her to be in. The living room seems like a better option to me, but either one would prob be fine.

Yes, both should be castrated for a proper bond to form. If only one is castrated, the hormonal fluctuations in the other rabbit can still trigger problems and cause fighting. You could get your male neutered right away, and see your vet about spaying. The vet may be able to do an emergency spay if her pregnancy isn’t too far along.

Hi, my intention isn’t to breed them, I preferably want the female spayed. My boyfriend was convinced they could get along fine without being fixed :/ Would the male also need to be fixed even though he has shown minimal to no disruptive behaviour?

I’ve tried several phone numbers and even tried shelters where they mention low cost spaying. So far all of them have said they don’t offer this service anymore. The cheapest I have found is around $400Cdn at a vet.

Has anyone else found a cheaper option?
