How fun! Feel free to post pics of your houseguests! 🙂
Do they have German citizenship? As far as I know they don’t let anyone in unless they’re citizens or have an urgent reason?

Cinnamon Bun started the topic Eating her liquid cecotropes of the floor? ♥ (I'm worried) ♥ in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
Okay, so for a while now I’ve been seeing these brown smudges on the floor of Binkie’s pen whenever I’ve went to clean her litterbox. I’ve thought nothing of it until today, when I saw her start eating her cecotropes and then eat them off the floor, afterwards – leaving a brown smudge in the corner of her exercise pen. Her cecotropes were liquid.…[Read more]

So took him to vet n he said infection due to urine bcz his bedding is wet and not soaking enough. Gave him two injections and a biodine to apply on his foot skin once a day. Lets hope he recovers soon and will never use any wood shavibgs from now on.

Thanks for the additional notes @wick , and thank you @lindseyjae for your experience with ring worm! I’m so sorry for your loss of Ollie :(.
I assume the vet will also go over this but out of curiosity did you continue topical treatments while your buns were on oral antifungals?

SweetPotato replied to the topic Bunny eating normal feces? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
Haha I personally wouldn’t worry about eating regular feces… my bun (Masha), especially when she was a baby, would always do this. I think its something almost all buns do, then grow out of, as I never caught her eating them on a regular basis after maybe being 3-4 years old. 🤣🤣🤣

Each pair of bunnies can kind of go at their own pace, so there isn’t a firm rule that things should be great at 24 hours. You should see things generally improving though. If you aren’t (so every night they are fighting a bit), it can help to change up the space (either new, neutral location), make the space bigger, or make the space…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Front Paw Fracture experience in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
It was the vet’s opinion that it could be the weight distribution thing, which is a bit problematic I think because what’s the alternative if Wick doesn’t learn to redistribute the weight? His other digits are fine on that paw, so I guess worst-worst case scenario is that his 2nd digit gets amputated and then hopefully he finds a good way to…[Read more]

Yes, if it’s on the top of the foot then it was either overgrooming or something (like a fungal infection) causing the fur to fall out. Does the skin look flaky or irritated?

I’m surprised they won’t even let you drop her off so she can be seen between appointments when the vet has time. That’s what my vet office does if it’s an emergency and they are booked up.

Oh no! Poor Wick! Hmm… what about arthritis or joint degeneration? That would make the joint look fuzzy on x-rays. Perhaps he was putting all his weight on that finger and it caused too much stress on the bones/joints?

Eating regular poops… well, it happens. Particularly in younger bunnies. I wouldn’t be overly concerned. He may just be craving something or he just thinks eating them is a good idea.
As for the grooming, I wouldn’t worry if it’s normal grooming. Some bunnies are more meticulous than others. Plucking fur out or biting it off would be something…[Read more]

Hi guys! This is my first post here so hopefully, this is in the correct section.
So, my 6-month-old bunn is eating his normal poops. These aren’t his “night feces” or cecotropes, they are normal droppings. He does this multiple times a day and it’s concerning because I can’t find any legit reason why he would be doing this. He is well fed on hay…[Read more]

Yeah I didn’t think there was either, most of the things I’m reading makes it sound fairly nice once you get to the 24 hour process. I’m not sure if they figured eachother out yet, they’re kinda confusing, Snowball grooms Thor a lot but is also always the one to growl or pull his fur, although she doesn’t do it as often, mostly just at night now…[Read more]

I think it is just Bordetella? Bordetella bronchiseptica is in rabbit respiratory systems and typically doesn’t cause illness, but I believe if passed onto guinea pigs, they are more likely to be negatively impacted, rather than it being asymptomatic/harmless. My assumption is this sort of transmission wouldn’t occur unless there is more intimate…[Read more]
