Yeah they’re reply made me feel more at ease. I guess I’m just a very anxious person because, he’s my first rabbit I ever had, I also monitor him very very closely so I probably overthink that something is wrong with him. I had him for about 8 months and a lot of vet visits, testing and medication in the first two months of having him :(. He has…[Read more]

I had a bunny get spayed and one get neutered. Its understandable to be nervous because theyre you’re babies and you don’t want them to be in pain. I remember being nervous then, and I would probs still be nervous in the future. I thought I wouldn’t be able to administer the pain meds but both my bunnies gobbled it up (I think it was fruit flavo…[Read more]

Aaw, thank you so much for the good vibes, wishes and reassurance, you guys. We didn’t get to see the vet yesterday but we managed to book an appointment for today. She was good as gold the whole time we were waiting. Seriously – she just sat in her carrier and waited patiently, munching on hay and cleaning her paws. It was so cute to watch. Her…[Read more]

Everyone gave great advice already, and it sounds like you’re perfectly on top of it! I’ll add that my bun does this as well. he’s a huge flopper and will pass out hard for a bit, shake himself awake and fall back asleep. I usually just attribute it to the prey animal instinct in them (gotta stay vigilant!). I also think it’s similar to us jerki…[Read more]

Well, I would have been more concerned if it was around the nostrils. It never hurts to ask! And it doesn’t hurt to have a vet take a look if you’re unsure about something. I’m glad it seems to have resolved. 🙂

You could call the vet and ask? If the Baytril is for 14 days and he is doing well on it, there doesnt seem much point in a vet visit after 10 days.

Yes. I named the bun. Her name is Lollipop because she licks everything! Poppy for short.
She is warming up to me. She still isn’t spayed so I think that explains some of her mood swings. She is getting spayed this month I think so I think she might get better. We’ll see. I am scared though. I friend of mine had her bunny neutere…[Read more]

My baby girl is getting her desex surgery tomorrow morning and I am so nervous and scared.
I feel bad about the pain she will be in during recovery and I’m extremely nervous about administering pain killers, keeping her comfortable and the possibility of her not eating and needing to be syringe fed that emergency food stuff.
I am just scared a…[Read more]

Hi everyone! My rabbits Sage and Chicory are two females who are 10 months old. A few months ago they had a fight, and we took them to get spayed. Since then, they’ve both been having on and off medical issues so we haven’t really tried rebonding. However, I want to start rebonding them as soon as possible. I’ll be taking them to the vet soon to…[Read more]

The doctor told me to do a recheck in ten days, but the oral baytril said to be use for 14 days. I’m not sure if I should go back in ten days or rebook another day?

If he willingly takes a trest and is eating and pooping, I agree with Wick. Gas pain is practically always accompanied by refusal or reluctance to eat. You can try giving him a treat -if he eats it, it’s pretty safe to say he’s not in pain.
Baytril does mess a bit with the microbial balance in the gut, because it kills both the bad,…[Read more]

Dana is right, a rabbit can navigate well in low lights, which means they employ their other senses, not just their eyesight. Blind rabbits often function very well, but all rabbits, blind or not, will want to find their own toilet spot and also mark their new home a bit with poop, especially near entrances.
The website Disabled Rabbits…[Read more]

That sounds kind of normal to me, though I haven’t personally seen any of my rabbits do it for such a long time. One of my rabbits flops a lot and the other doesn’t. Their reactions to flops are different. The one who flops a lot can stay in the flop for a longer time and when she “snaps out of it”, she’ll stay generally in the same position. The…[Read more]

Hm, I did see him press his stomach down while he was doing a loaf, he is eating, pooping and drinking. He’s on oral baytril right now and he is also on aventi GI pasted. If that’s what is call.
