Hmm… the nail could have already been damaged before the struggle. That might explain why it came off relatively easily and there was no blood. I trim my rabbits’ nails once a month.

I would say just make sure it stays clean and monitor that it heals properly. It is great that it didn’t end up bleeding. At this point, we just want the body to heal as it’s designed to and ensure no infections or anything interferes with that.

Yes, this sounds very normal with Baytril. I guess I just wouldn’t be overly concerned as long as he’s still eating hay and pellets. Mine had similar reactions… I never had to use a probiotic.

There might be something outside that is freaking them out.

Maybe just leave them inside and see if the black one calms down?
