When I first adopted her and took her in a few times, they gave her 2 different antibiotics although I’m not sure of the names. Because she generally is fine because she isn’t always snotty (I just don’t think the snorting is normal and she will sneeze a lot and make snot). In the end they said it is just her and to bring her in if she’s really…[Read more]

Okay so umi is eating, seemingly out of pain and binkying so that part of things is going great!

on the other hand…. she is digging her litter box a lot, picking it up with her mouth and trying to throw it and tipping her water bowl.

she also is a completely different person towards me 😢

she wants nothing to do with me. Before we were…[Read more]

If you leave it on loosely, then his mouth could get caught on it, and cause him to severely injure himself. Or yes, it could get caught on something else, causing the bun to freak out. This has happened with a cat before, so I can’t imagine the outcome if it happened to a small, fragile bun. Collars are super dangerous for buns no matter how long…[Read more]

    Hi there everyone!

Im back seeking help once again:(

Poor Annie… she has really been through the ringer lately. (Little bit of a back story… She was spayed April 4th. As well soon after the spay…she was showing signs of ear discomfort. I took her to the vet not once… not twice… but by the third time she vet finally diagnosed her with…[Read more]

I think it’d be very possible, since the main components of a rabbit’s diet is, and should be, hay and water. Hay and water should be freely available to the bun 24/7.

Pellets and fresh greens do not have to be given att the exact same time every day. As long as there is plenty of hay and water, the bun will not starve. Rabbits eat pretty much…[Read more]

Hi, I haven’t found any topic about this yet. I am studying rabbit care before making a decision about getting two of them. I’m not going to get them soon, i am waiting a while..
I have a full time job with rotating* shift schedules, which are:
1st shift usually 7am-3pm might be 6 hours or 7 hours sometimes
    2nd either 12-8pm or 13-9pm in both…

The danger with a collar is that the collar could get caught on something, causing the bun to panic. That could lead to the bun snapping its neck. For this reason, I would advice against using a collar on a rabbit. Cats are way, way less fragile than rabbits.

So, I’ve found several posts about not keeping a collar on a bunny, but they all talk about it like it was a dog. As if the bunny would always have it on. I have a small lionhead. I’m trying to teach him to free roam and have been slowly introducing new areas for him to explore. The problem is because he’s so small I can sometimes loose track of…[Read more]

Thank you. Jack seems a bit calm down today. To be honest I don’t mind letting them live side by side as long as they are not fighting every time when they free roam and meet each other. I stay at home most of the time so I can watch them. Because when I browse the posts here these days, I’ve found the bond could be broken at any age, not just 6 m…[Read more]

What treatments has she already had? I assume you tried some different antibiotics to try to clear it up? Did your vet suggest a nebulizer?

I supply plenty of large cat scratchers and other toys scattered about to hopefully redirect the carpet chewing energy.

Sorry for your loss.  Been thru this many, many times

This was your final gift to him.  You stayed and held him and that meant everything.

I have had to do it for animals that weren’t even mine because their people were going to just drop them off and leave because they couldn’t deal.  It’s not about us, it’s for them.

    When you’re ready, I ho…[Read more]

I’ve ordered vinyl flooring from home depot, they can cut you pieces by sq ft. I’ve noticed if my buns have access to the edges they will chew them though.

That might not be as practical for covering your whole floor though. For my carpet chewers, I’ve had the best luck with putting heavy ceramic tiles (the biggest ones I can find) over the hot…[Read more]
