Thank you! I just wasn’t sure since it was a different type of flop than I have usually seen from her.

Most of my bunnies have always been clean bunnies. But every now and then there’s one that prefers mess. LOL.

Tater does not appreciate a human-cleaned cage. It stays neat for maybe 2 hours on a good day. Lol.

Oh and it’s very normal to not know who’s dominant. As long as they are getting along then no need to worry about it. 🙂

Sounds like it’s going great!
I would go for longer and longer sessions in the same space you’ve been using before changing the area they’re in (since it’s going well).
You can try to go for a couple hours next, then bump up to three or four.
The 48 hr thing is either ‘cementing’ (finalizing the bond), or ‘marathon’ bonding. I usually sleep ne…[Read more]

I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but one of my dogs seems to be greiving for our recently passed senior rabbit (Clover). She is eating and playing a bit, but seems to be very confused at times about where Clover is (sniffing around bunny’s play area and randomly seeming out of sorts). She couldn’t be at the vet during the final…[Read more]

She didn’t say, just that there was some white blood cells and that he’d be fine without medication

Background:
Jack(agouti)and Josh(black) are brothers and just turned 6 months old and did desexing about 7 weeks ago. Started to fight 6 weeks later after desexing. Bonding was good when they were baby and Jack was the dominant one.
What’s happening now:
Had 3 bonding sessions (20min/30min/1hr) in bathtub. No fighting. Had seen sn…[Read more]

LOL! You just compared my rabbit Smokey as rabbit 1, and OB as rabbit 2. 😆 Silver’s somewhere in between them. 😉

In addition to the suggestions mentioned above, I might also hold off any cruciferous veggies (eg broccoli) if you’re feeding her those that may cause more gas. If she stops eating make sure you have critical care on hand. In my house we worship simethicone and tummy massages 🙌🏼

Hahahaha I totally agree with this! With regards to bunny 2, when people point out messiness after I’ve leaned, I always tell them: “well it’s clean for HIM.” They’re so particular about how they like their space. The audacity of us humans to come in and ruin (aka clean) their beautiful homes!

Definitely kicking back and relaxing! It also shows she trusts you. laying with your belly out is very vulnerable position to be in, so having her sprawled out like that she’s saying: “I’m very happy, relaxed, and I’m not worried about getting attacked.” don’t be surprised if you hear teeth grinding (bunny purring) or some soft sighs.

🥰🥰🥰
She is relaxing when she’s on her side like that. It can look very dramatic when a rabbit suddenly assume that type of position, the first time I saw it I thought my bun had had a seizure.
It just means contentedness and perfect relaxation. It’s called flopping.
Congratulations on your new bun. She’s beautiful!

Now:

Hello Everyone!I am a new bun mom who just got a Holland lop on the 10th. Besides the fact of being a new bun mom this is my first pet ever. I have done years of research but research is different than actually having the sweet bunny. This morning my sweet bunny was playing to her hearts content from 5am – 9:30. I…[Read more]

There are two types of bunnies in this world. I cleaned their cages last night (these are sleep cages they use pens during the day my youngest cat is far too curious at night).
Here we have bunny 1: Cage is mostly clean. He’s dumped his toys out of the silver bowl and there are some stray poops. Hay outside of the cage. Some mess in the toy bowl…[Read more]
