My bunny is very healthy, mashallah. He is cheerful and energetic, eats and drinks well. But I can’t understand the reason for this soft poop. Sometimes decreasing, sometimes increasing. Actually increased after parasitic medication at the vet. Other times there was no increase. Now I’m starting to think that’s how it is built. Now I think hisa…[Read more]

Are there any noises or things that are spooking him potentially? Or do you think he’s just upset being penned up since he’s free roam?
Have you seen his posture when he does thumps? Usually if my bun is afraid he will be rigid, standing pretty stiff and up right. Typically I’ll look around to see what he’s looking at so I can help resolve…[Read more]

Great thank you! It’s so tough not to get involved or project our own opinions. I intervene a lot but sometimes think my movement sets them off when they’re both in a tense face-to-face. it’s a learning experience for the three of us but we’re doing the best we can!
Thank you also for answering my questions! theres a plethora of bonding info ou…[Read more]

Some buns are prone to soft poop. Itcanhave to do withthe innervation of the intenstine. There is an assortment process where cecal poop and fecal prophet separated. In some buns, this function is slightly impaired. I had a bun like that, he had a daughter who was the same. He greatly improved on a good diet, but he was always prone.
The good…[Read more]

I have a hard time figuring out what treats to give my little guy and in what quantity.
I’ve read people for example saying that carrots are extremely bad and basically all treats are very big risks to a bunnys health, it makes me very worried and anxious.
My bun loves carrots, it’s his favorite treat, but i’m limiting them to the weekend now so…[Read more]

I noticed something. No parasite vaccine for rabbits in Turkey. That’s why every 3 months, an internal-external parasite drug is made to Cookie. I noticed that after the parasite drug the soft poop of Cookie increased a lot. Other than that, in general, I sometimes see soft poop once a day. I wonder if this has something to do with parasitic drugs?

Good morning,
I have a question for you all. 😐 Cookie sometimes poops softly 1-2 times a day. But not diarrhea and all other poops are healthy. I followed the diet, he no longer eats ready-made mix food. He eats a lot of hay. But I still keep seeing this soft poop. Even 2 days ago i saw this soft poop more than usual. I stopped giving him…[Read more] -

Hi. My bunny used to settle in his cage at night but a week ago he started thumping for no reason. I got up and finally got him to settle in the lounge out if his cage. Since then he has happily gone to sleep on a chair in the lounge rather than in his cage. But he got spooked again last night for no real reason. Why would this be happening and…[Read more]

DanaNm thank you so much for all your advice. It means a lot!
I really appreciate the replies.
I am beginning to get a bit disheartened though- as we have been bonding them for 2 months now and I thought we were almost there! I was planning an overnight session today but we seem to have taken a step backwards. They are able to eat near each other…[Read more]

Sorry another quick question: what about the water? They had a 2-hour session today and I just put some hay in the bathtub but not the water. When I put them back they started to drink immediately.
So do I put a new bowl when I have a long session? -

Hi good to see you! Yes I put puppy pee pads in today and decide to have more and longer session in the bathtub as I have a strong feeling that I can’t trust them for now. They’ve been in the bathtub for a hour now. At the beginning they both demanded grooming and lowered head to head. After a few embarrassing minutes, I gave them a pet tog…[Read more]

It sounds like things are going really well! I think making the pen a bit smaller to encourage some interaction was a good move.
As for who’s dominant, I have mostly stopped trying to figure out dominant vs. submissive with bunnies. In a few of my pairs it’s really hard to tell, so I don’t worry too much about it (often it seems like both bunnies…[Read more]

It sounds like things are going pretty normally and not too badly! The rough grooming could have been a precursor to mounting. Usually the mounter will groom the other bun to try to convince them to let them mount, but if they don’t groom enough the mounting attempt is usually not successful. lol
When I read “bunny tornado” I think of a fight…[Read more]

Hi
Thank you for all the answers so far. I hope I can clear up confusion. Please ask more if my explanation wasn’t enough.
I work as practical nurse in group home. And usually in group homes there needs to be people for residents 24/7 to help them. Just like in hospitals for example. That’s why my shifts varies and there are more than just one…[Read more]

Yes, I would do longer sessions in the tub! Or if that’s not practical, you could try the bathroom floor so long as it’s similarly neutral.
I don’t usually add litter boxes until they are spending many hours happily together, because buns can get territorial over litter boxes (even when they are brand new). I usually like to put down a bunch of…[Read more]

Hi thank you for your reply! So do you mean I should do longer session in the bathtub? I don’t mind it at all as I’m so afraid that I’m rushing it and ruin it.
But my question is: if I do longer session in the bathtub, should I put litter trays in? As the space is quite limited, should I put one or two trays in? They already did wee twice in th…[Read more]
