Really hot, it is like 35 degrees of Celsius outside. Inside we have like 30.

We try to cool her down but she won’t lay next to frozen bottle only when I cool her down with my hand and cold wet towel.

She is not letargic at all so I doubt it’s a health issue

How old is she? Some rabbits regulate to a “chill” activity period during the large majority of the day, as that’s when they usually sleep. It can be a very different energy-schedule than a younger rabbit who, like a human child, defies the laws of when they “should” be asleep versus awake.

All this being said, it is best to first discount health…[Read more]

The heat can be really hard on them. How warm is it?

You can give her a frozen water bottle or some cool tiles to lay on. Mine buns tend to start getting really uncomfortable in the high 70’s, and around 80 buns can start overheating.

Have there been any changes in her diet?

Hmm, I’m not sure as she is okay now in the evening.

Its true that something did upset her tummy because she had softer stool. Kinda like cecotropes. But besides that she acts normal.

Maybe it is really the heat. But she is just all day alone in room. Before she at least laid next to me in another room.

Aww bummer! But little hiccups are normal at this phase. You really haven’t had very many dates, so they are just still getting comfortable with each other and establishing their relationship terms.

Never mind! I sat back (well hovered) and tried to let them sort it out. And guess what? Wolfie fricken groomed her! It was a hard groom at first but then was soft. So happy! Issue now is that she keeps torpedoing him for grooms. He will alternate between hard grooms where she occasionally flinches and soft grooms. also does this thing where…[Read more]

It sounds like you are doing exactly what I like to do!

So that sounds exactly like a grooming request. I like to do lots of petting at first in the early dates, esp if they seem tense. Then once I have a better sense of how they are doing, I will start to ease of the petting, or I will try to wait a second or two before starting to pet.

    Since…[Read more]

Sounds like a plan, good luck!

I think for videos most members have uploaded to an external place, like google drive, then shared the link. We are still having issues with directly inserting photos but members have been able to add pictures to their profile, which adds them to their media library. Then you can insert the pics into the post.

Yep, neutered male bonds are possible, and it does seem to be mostly about personality.

Male-female bonds do tend to be the most common though. My two boys were NOT a good match so I gave up trying to bond them, but there are lots of members on here with male pairs.

A sudden change in behavior can be a sign of some pain or discomfort. Maybe she has a bit of gas?

I’m sorry you are going through a hard time!

I haven’t gone through a situation like that exactly, but I have spent long stretches of time away from my buns when I’ve lived abroad for work. I was away for 10 months at one point, and I can tell you my bun at the time did not hold a grudge or anything like that!

I also adopted Bertha, one of my…[Read more]

Hay, it looks pretty normal to me! I’ve had this experience with my bun before, and I was a little freaked out, but I found out that it was normal soon enough. Sometimes bald spots can appear when buns are molting, so I wouldn’t be too concerned. Pepita is absolutely beautiful, by the way! She reminds me a lot of my previous ginger bun, Nutmeg ♥

Thank you so much for your reply, it really means a lot to me.  I’m sorry you were in a similar position as a teen-I know it sucks.  I will be allowed to facetime home a half hour every day so I’m glad I’ll be able to see him, and can bring a bunch of pictures of him. I’ve gone on a few weekend trips where they took care of him so they know most o…[Read more]

It doesn’t seem to urgent in her opinion either since everything else seems normal.

I’m going to let her vet eyeball it Monday but just wanted to make sure the hive mind didn’t see something I wasn’t 😛

It generally looks pretty normal to me. I don’t see anything unusual. I actually don’t see any bare skin in the photos? That being said some rabbits, like one of mine, will often molt in areas where the fur hasn’t actually grown in yet, so bare spots are around during this time of year. The fact that you’re seeing healthy skin rather than flaky,…[Read more]

Regardless of sex, it’s more so personality of each rabbit and how and where you are doing introductions that will determine if rabbits will be intensely aggressive upon meeting. There are many neutered male bonds, although it is less common.

The bonding process can be long, but it’s not exclusively determined by sex at all.
