Hi
I Wanted to update and had a few questions if that is ok?
Bonding still going ok- no real change. Some days I think they are there and then others I feel it will never happen. this week Louie decided to chase a little. Not sure if it was playful or not- especially as they have had relatively little chasing since beginning this seemed like…[Read more]

Hi everyone! I recently adopted a male bun to be a lil companion to my female bun (and i gave him some time to settle in before introducing). it is only day 1 of pre bonding so I’m probably overreacting but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with the nipping? my female bunny has shown some great signs like lying down be…[Read more]

Your words echo our own heart, as we lost our almost 12-year Bonny last Wednesday. Yes, the pain is SOOO wracking. Like you, I keep forgetting I cannot check on her. Like you to your Clover, we loved Bonny VERY much. I am so very, very sorry for your loss. Your bunny is beautiful.

Ah, I see! I’m guessing he also isn’t neutered? That would help explain why he goes to the bathroom everywhere. Many bunnies more or less litter train themselves when given a box (they usually eat hay, poop, and pee all at the same time), but even un-neutered buns will tend to pee mostly in one spot, but will also likely mark in other places. …[Read more]

Thank you ❤️
It’s been a nightmare. I didn’t stop crying once all weekend. But when I frame it as getting the best outcome for Tony, I feel better about it. We can’t keep them both separately as they wouldn’t get enough attention to be truly happy.
We actually got a call today from a lady who sounds like she might be able to offer a lovely home,…[Read more]

I have had her for a week and a bit now. She is still not showing any breathing problems and she is her lively self running around and playing with her toys. She still eats normal and everything. I also think one of the other rabbits bit her.

Thumper’s not the easiest to get a photo of but may he bring you all luck! I hope you’re all staying cool in this heat or warm enough if your area is cold!

That’s really great advice! I’m always in the area with them so I’m glad you mentioned to stay out of the pen. It’s funny you mentioned the water bowl because little mama just knocked it over for the millionth time. I will probably start tonight or tomorrow once I get everything set up. I’m going to do it where there’s a microwave and mini fridge…[Read more]

A lot of people will forgo a cage entirely and use an x-pen instead. Most cages are too small, and are very expensive. Most x-pens (sold as puppy play pens often) will have a door built in so you can easily go in and out, or you can just clip the ends together and unclip when you need to go in.
You can see some ideas for different pen set-ups…[Read more]

Smushy is currently on Metacam & Cisapride from the vet, and I have been administering gas drops as well.
The cream for his feet is sulfadiazine.

The buns have a whole bedroom to themselves, they have foam tiles on the floor. I installed the foam tiles after sore hocks a few years ago & they haven’t had a problem since. I know the floor is cushioned enough, just very abrasive on his bare feet.
I purchased 3 memory foam bath mats, placed one next to the litter box, one inside a cardboard…[Read more]

She’s now honking and lunging playfully at my wife. She’s grabbing the hay and kind of nibbling on it. Wife says her stomach is anywhere near the gurgles it was earlier.

How big is his cage? In general it’s not ideal to have to take the rabbit in and out of a cage, because most rabbits don’t like to be picked up. Can you set things up so he can go in and out on his own, maybe to an attached x-pen that he has access to all the time? Gentle movement is good, usually you just want to prevent them doing big jumps down…[Read more]

Can you syringe feed her? If not I would take her to the vet. It is important to get her to eat something (although eating cecals is a good sign).
