It’s a golden color (if it was a hair color it’d be a light blonde if that helps at all to describe it), 2 cups of veggies, 1/8 cup pellets and from what they’ve seen no bugs.

I am bonding my rabbit Cinnimon and Ollie. They mostly ignore each other and occasionally flop with each other, they groom each other occasionally too on there ears, head, and butt/backend. I don’t know what grooming the butt/backend means. Have your bunnies ever done this, is it okay?

Is the hay good? Not brown, or musty. How much veggies and pellets do they give the bunnies. They may be eating the pellets and veggies instead of the hay. Did they check the bale no bugs or anything like that, it may cause the bunnies to not eat it.

Someone I know is having trouble with her buns. They’re normally great hay eaters. She gets her hay from a farm and her rabbits have always eaten it however she just got a new bale and they’re barely touching it. She knows they’re healthy because they just got a check up and everything is fine. She doesn’t have money to try the foraging trick but…[Read more]

I thought that he may be at first, but he looks different than my netherland dwarf. His face is more of a circle, his ears are bigger, and he is more furry.

I am also curious if your rabbit is being kept in a cage/housing that is different. Those sound like mouth injuries from bar pulling/chewing. If the pet-sitter is OK with handling rabbits, I would inquire to check that the front teeth look OK and not damaged. Also check in about if the rabbit is eating OK.

Does she have him caged/penned up more than usual? seeing him behind the bars makes me wonder whether he has been frantically chewing the bars in an effort to escape. I’m not sure if they can injure their lips but I do know bunnies can chip their teeth on the metal. If he’s feeling trapped or scared he may also be chewing on other things out of…[Read more]

I’m in the middle of bonding as well, so I’m by no means a bounding expert. Wolfie was very into mounting in the beginning —face mounting more specifically haha — but from the start Pixie was clearly more dominant. I think there was a brief period of Wolfie mounting and grooming in the same dating session, but then he stopped mounting altoget…[Read more]

Baby rabbits can eat quite a lot of pellets. Some even free feed babies, but most people just refill the bowl when it’s been emptied.
A good thing to have at home for minor tummy trouble is simethicone baby gas drops. You give 0.5-1 ml if you suspect gas. It’s not expensive, a small bottle lasts a long time. They have it in the baby aisle in f ex…[Read more]

If she has pooped a lot now, I think you’re pretty much in the clear. She’s alert, has good energy and a good appetite and she has pooped a lot.
Does she eat a good amount of hay?
If she eats a good amount of hay, you can slowly reintroduce pellets little by little starting tomorrow or so. She is a baby so she needs pellets to grow, but hay…[Read more]

I am a little over 2 weeks into marathon bonding my two rabbits and was curious about a behavior I observed. Nova (F, spayed) will mount Pekoe (M, neutered) then groom him afterwards. There has only been one minor scuffle since I started marathon bonding and that was because I expanded their space too quickly. What does the humping then grooming…[Read more]

I’m out of town and my rabbit sitter just sent me this picture of my 5 month old rabbit, Charlie. She has a sore and two bloody scabs on her lip…! I have no idea what could have caused it… does it look like anything to you?
