I’ve seen none of those things in him at all. He’s been totally normal, and i’ve just learned as well that he’s around seven, so that might have something to do with it? Information around him is a little complicated, I apologize for that severely.

You worry about things like EC when a bunny is having what appears to be a seizure. No weight loss? Decreased appetite? Incontinence? Head tilt? Rapid eye movement?

He doesn’t have another symptoms at all, he just ended up going back to normal after a bit, it just happened randomly and out of nowhere. That’s why it’s so odd to me.
And I don’t know exactly how old he is, i’ll have to ask my mother, but he’s certainly not like an old man.

I would also say that her hormones are probably starting to kick in. Plus he probably smells different since he was neutered and that could have contributed to setting her off as well. I agree, it’s best just to keep them separate until after she has been spayed. It will cause more damage to their future bonding chances if they get into a really bad fight.

Seizures can manifest in several different ways. What you’re describing doesn’t sound normal, especially if he was flailing his legs like he was trying to right himself.

How old is he? Does he have any other symptoms or anything else that seems off?

hello, I hope someone can help me here because I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t exactly have access to a vet. I’m very worried, and I don’t know what to do.

This has only happened once before, and I don’t know how this has started both times. This second time has just occurred today, and I don’t know what the heck is going on or if he is…[Read more]

Some bunnies are just vocal. She is a bit young to make oinking/honking noises since it’s often associated with being hormonal. But spayed/neutered rabbits will sometimes do it too. Just depends on the bunny and their personality. I suppose a young bunny could do it too.

I lost my rabbit a few weeks ago and I’m still devastated, she showed no signs she was ill , other than when I picked her up to put her in her hutch from her run , after she had ran away like usual , she felt different/ strange but I just didn’t think anything of it . I got up the next day and she was dead . I have since researched and it can be…[Read more]

    Hi friends,

New baby bun-parents over here! We just brought home two 11 week old holland lops, brother and a sister. We have noticed that the girl (Lola) will make these small “Squeaking” or “Oinking” (like a pig) noises while she is sitting or laying down. She seems relaxed, eats her pellets, drinks water and pigs out on hay just fine. Her poops…[Read more]

Thank you @DanaNM so much for the reply! By pre-bonding, do you mean just switching them without meeting? I can try the side-by-side setup again and maybe try to expand the ex-pen so the one inside has more room! I am worried since Maisie is used to free-roaming, putting in her pen might lead her to build resentment with the other bun? And do you…[Read more]

Thank you so much for your reply. I will definitely try bonding them the right way when she is spayed and will post in the section if I have more questions. Thank you!!

I’d say this was her hormones in action. She’s hit puberty. She makes a clear invite, he ignores her request, she gets really annoyed with him.

Keep them strictly separated until she is spayed and has healed. Healing physically takes about 2 weeks, but  emotional volatility (known as post-spay craze) can persist a few weeks longer.

    Then you can…[Read more]

    Hi everyone,

So, I have these two bunnies, one of them is a male and one is a female. They had little interaction with each other once I got them, but they seemed to really like each other, constantly grooming each other and hanging out. I then took my male rabbit who was of age to get neutered. The female is not spayed yet because she is too…[Read more]
