My rabbits don’t like typical rabbit toys. They’d rather chew cardboard, dig blankets, zoomies, etc. They have a long hall to run which helps get the energy out. They like running thru tunnels. One of their favorite things is stuffing the TP roll tube with hay. They never get tired of it so I give them each one per night. I’d fill it more often…[Read more]

For my chewers I use a vinyl layer on the bottom that is a bit textured. They usually have some options at home depot that are not too slippery. Then I add seagrass or paper mats on top for a bit more traction. You can also even put down pieces of cardboard over the vinyl, and then just swap them out when they get soiled. It’s not the nicest…[Read more]

It would be best to separate them since you are starting to see mounting, but they can live side by side as neighbors. 🙂 Their hormones are starting to kick in and that often causes fighting.

Once they are neutered it will take a couple weeks for their hormones to settle, then you can start the bonding process.

Do also confirm their sexes, it’s…[Read more]

Thanks for the input. I have tried to take them away for a few weeks and then put the back in but they still have no interest.

That sounds like it would work great. Could you put the link in. I can’t find it.

I found this rug at Home Depot on display under patio furniture. It’s only a foot larger around an X-pen, is smooth low pile so hard to chew. The best floor cover so far cause that cute little tail has a front end that chews a lot!

I don’t mean to sound like a salesperson, but because I am a forum leader I’ve gotten most of my supplies from the binkybunny store. Spike chews also, and I finally found a flat, low tight pile carpet at home depot that he won’t chew on. For toys, the larger, more complicated edible toys are best. The store has separate sections for toys and for…[Read more]

Both of you thank you so much for the fast answers!

I’m already seeing some amelioration on my buns side. The small one is still skittish, but he seems to be getting used to the smell and this morning he grabbed the treats out of my hand which he didn’t do when we got the pup.

Thanks again for the help I will take it slow with them

Thank you sooo much for all your help recently. I have cardboard cat scratchers right now ( will have to get more soon). I am going to be getting some Seagrass mats, and bundle of willow sticks.

So we have 2 boys that are about 3 weeks apart in age. Skittles is almost 3 months and Copper is about 9 weeks. They have been together for about 2 weeks and are starting to mount. Both do it though I think Skittles is more submissive. We are going to neuter both at 4-5 months if we can. Can they be safe and happy together until then or do I need…[Read more]

Cardboard cat scratchers work well for rabbits who like cardboard — they are more robust, so they’ll last longer. Something plain like this is fine (My Fable chews them a ton):

For willow toys, it’s great that they’re eating them! You can actually get willow chunks through the Binkybunny Store, which can last much longer, as well as packs of…[Read more]

when I get my rabbits toys they play with them for a day then stop. I am looking to put carpet tiles down and don’t want to rip it, I also don’t want bored bunnies only enriched bunnies please. If you have any suggestions of toys for them that would help a lot. They seem to like willow but they are gone in a like a hour. They also like car…[Read more]

So it is important that you provide plenty of things for them to rip up when they want to– that drive to chew/dig is not going change, so it is the responsibility of us rabbit owners to provide each rabbit with as much stimulation as their energy level seems to require. If yours are higher on the spectrum of destruction, you need to get more toys…[Read more]

Thank you for the idea. I found a loop pile carpet tiles. Do you think that they would be able to tear this up? They are very dedicated to ripping thing apart, and have done so to all of the things possible to rip up, books, their beds, fleece, my medium pile carpet, bedsheet, purses, wires, curtains, harnesses, leashes, brushes, litter boxes, my…[Read more]

Both the buns and the dog will know of each other’s presence, because both species have a far, far more acute sense of smell than humans. Since the dog is a pup, she’ll likely more or less just accept the situation as it is. That’s how dogs have come to be man’s best friend, going back sth like 40 000 years or so -dogs accept what the hoomin says…[Read more]

You can try low-pile carpet squares, which are typically easy to find in hardware stores! They usually have a rubbery-backing, so they will stay firm on top of coroplast/vinyl without needing to tape them down or anything.
