Thanks! Maybe based on that he wants me to run about like crazy with him 😀 , I can try and mimic that… the chewing his toys with him is going to be less likely!
@LBJ10 that sounds like any two little kids playing together!
Bunston rolling his little ball sounds adorable!

I’m sorry you are going through this, bunny tummy issues are so stressful. 🙁
Some bunnies are very sensitive to particular pellet ingredients and/or veggies. I recall someone years ago (can’t remember who) who said if their bun had a single mint leaf that was slightly browning it would set off a gas attack!
Once she is stabilized your vet might…[Read more]

I’m taking her in again at 3 just for another check up. I’m sick of this and just want my bun better. She’s only 6

I’ll lock this one for now so it doesn’t get mixed up with the current thread.

hah! Glad he’s doing better!
I usually threaten my bunnies with the vet…. “If you don’t start eating we are going to the vet… and I know you don’t want to do that!”. Maybe he was like “OK FINE I’LL EAT”!

Has the vet inspected her teeth? Teeth problems can cause recurring GI-problems. Rabbit molars cant be seen without an otoscope. Rabbits can get spurs on their inner teeth, and the spurs can prevent normal chewing. If the spurs are causing the bun pain, the rabbit might avoid certain types of food or eat less over all.

She ate about a 1/4 of her veggies this morning but we had to hand feed her. I sure hope she’s ok

Yes, bonded pairs can “play” together by doing zoomies, binkies, etc. together. And, as Dana mentioned, they will often enjoy the same toy together… although sometimes that turns into a tug of war where one bunny grabs it and the other bunny takes it back. Mine loved working on puzzle toys together, but that too would turn into a shoving match. 🙄

I’m not going to say this is ideal, but ..
Back in the day (70’s) we raised rabbits, primarily for show. We fed unlimited pellet and occasionally veggies. They never saw a blade of hay…though the pellets back then we’re pretty much just chopped hay…not the conglomeration of stuff they make now. I was just a kid, this is how Mom did it…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Water Filter question in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 12 months ago
I don’t know if it will do much for the taste. But what you linked too should filter and also soften the water a bit. I think BZOO is right that the bigger/rougher fish rock-like pieces probably work better.

You could try using this recycled denim moving blanket. My bunny digs, bites, and pulls at it but hasn’t managed to make a hole yet (we’ve had it over two months). Granted, he isn’t constantly after it, mostly when he feels like it or our cat’s on it. It’s not as soft as fleece but more soft and padded than carpet. If it’s too big you can probabl…[Read more]

I agree, warm ears are better than cold ears. It means her temperature probably isn’t low. If you have leftover critical care, it would be good to try feeding her to keep things moving. If she pooped recently, then that is good. It means things are moving… and hopefully the gas is too.

Fish rock shapes over pellet, got it! So I suppose that would mean the marineland would be the better choice, even with it’s higher zeolite content to carbon.
I did have a filter on my kitchen faucet, but I sadly cannot afford to replace the filters carts for it. They seem to be just as expensive as the device itself, plus, I was hoping the…[Read more]

Personally, the more rock shaped carbon seems to be a bit better than the pellet type.
Natural zeolite is safe, heck, the fish live and breathe it! 🙂
We just use Britta filtered water, better than our straight water.

I do think your buns will be fine, this is a very short time.
If you got the twigs in a monthly box my guess is apple or willow. They wouldnt be from poisonous trees. Not all buns are interested in twigs though.

I believe I have twigs that came with one of the monthly boxes, I’ll double check to see which sort it is but both haven’t shown much interest in chewing in them. They also have a wide variety of toys that they tend to ignore if it isn’t a favorite, which is a little surprising from my youngest who usually is the one for toys. My oldest is more…[Read more]

This is more of a general feeling. I’m ignored regardless of the question/topic, it’s been constant on every platform, including this by the past 2 or so hours. I don’t know, it might’ve just been spurred how it’s an endless cycle lately. But thank you.
