It may have been a past injury that scabbed off. Perhaps your rabbit was kept with others prior to you getting Buddy and he had an injury as a result. As your vet mentioned, it looks like something to monitor as the tip seems pretty well healed with no immediate worrying signs.

My minilop, Buddy, is 11 weeks old. We noticed a few days ago that he had a crusty lump at the tip of his ear that was on both sides. When grooming he started to nibble at it and this morning he has bitten it out of his ear leaving a missing chunk! Has anyone else had this and know the cause? The vet has said to just keep an eye on him but he…[Read more]

    Hello again!

Not sure if this is still active but jkk chance it!

So, in a big update, Phil’s potential new husbun is coming to live sigh us this week! He’s a 4 year old neutered Netherland Dwarf called Hopper. He’s been a free roam indoor rabbit his whole life and has next to no interest in food/is not food motivated (which is good becsuse of…[Read more]

You loved her to the moon and back, you gave her the best of care… nothing is your fault.  Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, crap happens.

She is free now and she loves you, always know that.

I had one of these. I swear this dog would find an animal that had been dead for weeks on hikes and I’d have to chase her and pull it out of her mouth. Which is really gross and not something I miss doing. But if you tried to feed her actual food she’d lose her mind like it was made out of knives. Like miss girl I just saw you with a rotting deer…[Read more]

Tater is a dramatic baby. I put his water bowl on the opposite side of his pen today and he thumped at it for 5 minutes solid. Hmm, I’m not sure I’m going to try a raspberry tomorrow and see how he reacts. He acts like strawberries are personally out to get him.

By they didn’t work, do you mean your rabbits are chewing at them? If so, is it in the middle or at edges/corners?

If they didn’t work, I am slightly confused why you’re interested in green carpet, but I think you’d need to look online or go directly to the store to find where green ones are available.

If by ‘green’ you mean environmentally…[Read more]

I think chewing on mesh is likely, yes. That is especially dangerous considering rabbits’ ability to squeeze through tiny fabric holes of their making, haha.

A lot of this will be up to your rabbits’ personalities, not only if they chew it or not, but also if being restricted and moved around in a stroller will be enriching or stressful for them.…[Read more]

I been thinking about getting a stroller for my bunnies but I am concerned that they would chew or scratch through the mesh. Do you think this would happen?

The carpet tiles I ordered didn’t work. I am thinking I want to put green  carpet/carpet tiles. Do you guys know any?

Hmmm, it’s hard to tell from the picture, but is it on her fur or something attached to the skin? Could she have injured her nose somehow?

Mine get darker poops from orchard hay as well. The important thing is that he eats as much hay as possible, so if he’s eating a lot of orchard then I would stick with that for now! It can take young rabbits to really start to get a taste for hay, but you are doing the right thing by offering different cuts, etc.

    If you’d like a second opinion…[Read more]

thanks for the poop information link. I think his poop looks more like the first picture under “Problem poop”. I guess my goal now is to get him to eat more of whatever kind of grass hay. Picky little baby 🙁

All fine! It’s good to make new topics to keep these topics up to date with people’s different experiences.

This is good place to learn about poop!: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Rabbit_poop

Lighter and bigger is generally healthier. That being said, if the smaller, darker poops are still of good size and are still dry and crumble, those are…[Read more]
