Maybe you could find an untreated wooden one that was made to be doll furniture? I know a lot of people use those Ikea doll beds for their bunnies.

No when he’s playing it sounds the same, the whistle isn’t louder or anything like that. I just took him to the vet not too long ago for a regular checkup and she said he was perfectly healthy?

The hop’n flop was very easy to sew. I made it for my bun Vilde, but he never cared for it. I think perhaps it appeals to younger rabbits more? It wasnt so long ago since she was alo cuddled up in a nest next to her litter mates.

Correct he is free roaming! I put it up again just now and I feel like he is a bit more relaxed. With the Door open. Maybe the playpen made him protected and not so exposed perhaps and then it’s more his own decision to come “out”. I agree to a vet visit. While it seems clear that there is no immediate, imminent danger, since rabbits are obligate nose-breathers (i.e. they only breath through the nose; not mouth), any potential obstruction/condition that may worsen and block nasal breathing is serious. I think if you have a good feeling about it and have the time, then you could go for it. 🙂 I would just have lots of back-up plans (housing, etc) ready to go in case you decide to change strategy once you start.

Without hearing it I can’t really say, but it might be worth a vet visit to make sure he doesn’t have a respiratory infection.

I do think that bunnies feel safer when they have a “home base”, such as a pen, cage, or condo, even if it’s left open all the time. That way they feel like they have a safe spot to retreat to if they feel threatened.

It sounds like you let him roam without a cage all day. Which is great if that is what you are doing. I would put a home base up for him and keep the door open so he could come out when he feels like it. If I misunderstood what you wrote I am sorry.
