Hi everybunny
We have a couple of large damson trees on our farm, and I was just wondering whether rabbits could eat damson leaves and sticks

I have two rabbits (male & female both neutered/spayed) I’ve been bonding for a couple months. I have a shared gate (that they can’t bite through) and lately my male rabbit has gone from just sleeping next to the gate to also doing binkies next to it. Is there any time a binkie can be considered a territorial move or is it likely he’s just playi…[Read more]

Poop sizes can vary throughout the day. If you’re finding big and small mixed in the litter box, they are probably different “deposits”. This isn’t to say an odd one doesn’t get mixed in with an otherwise uniform batch of poops every now and then.

It’s good they have (mostly) forgiven you. Grudges around here can last a lot longer than just a couple of hours. 🙄

Rabbits can develop sensitivities as they get older. Something that was OK when they were younger, they no longer tolerate as they age. This is true to some people and other animals as well. My dog, for example, developed a sensitivity to grain when she got older. It was causing a lot of stomach upset, so we had to switch her to a grain-free diet.

Thank you so much for the reply and tips, and it’s alright lol. It’s was a mixture of large and small, I broke one up and it seems to be dry and crumbly. And no they don’t have any hair in them.

Also in general, if you notice anything weird with poop, encouraging them to eat more hay and drink more water is usually the first step.

Hmmm, was it just 1 big one or a mixture of large and small? Which size is more normal? If you break one up does it seem crumbly or wet? Do they have a lot of hair in them? (sorry for all the questions!)
Sometimes a random big poop can happen during molting, or when two poops get stuck together on their way out.

In other news, we trimmed all the buns’ nails tonight. Feels so good to get them all done! Everyone has mostly forgiven me LOL

A food sensitivity or dental issue seems more likely to me, but it’s definitely not a bad idea to add some hay and water to her play area!
I still think (as long as she’s eating enough hay), going hay-only for a while is a good next step. It could even be an ingredient in her pellets that’s not agreeing with her (some buns are really sensitive to…[Read more]

I think I may figure out why she gets this so often. When w elect her out to play sometimes it’s for 6-8 hours at a time and when she’s out playing there is no water or food. It never occurred to me that maybe not having food or water for the 6-8 hours while she’s out roaming around having fun could make her all messed up. What you think?

Hello again everyone,
I wanted to ask a question because I’m alittle worried about my bunnies. Is there a reason why they are popping big all of a sudden and is there anything I should do about it?

What about one that is for cats? They have couches that are cardboard scratchers. You can find them on Amazon.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Help! What to do? Is pokeberry pousonous? in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 12 months ago
This plant is poisonous to most animals. Birds are immune and will feed on the berries. That being said, it is also unpalatable (meaning it doesn’t taste good). So an animal may nibble on it and then decide it isn’t a good idea to eat it. If your bunny just nibbled, then he/she probably decided it wasn’t something to eat as well. I imagine a…[Read more]
